Anon drops entire ski program

they jumped on the band waggon, made money, and then got out. burton has always ragged on skiers...it was going to happen sooner or later. skiers should support ski companies. companies that help the sport out rather than use the sport like anon and red did. just makes them look like idiots anyways.

 
everyone is rippin on Anon i have gotten anon goggles for the past 2 years now and have had no problems with any of them.

its anon or spy for me.
 
That's pretty weak..not suprised though, it is burton...i doubt it's a big deal though...schiller parker and pollard won't have any problems gettin hooked up with someone else
 
Anon didnt catch on with the snowboard industry at first. It grew so fast with the ski industry. They are now getting more and more snowboarders wearing anon, but I still dont see why anon is dumping skiing. The rep around here says he hasnt heard anything like that before.
 
seriously who the F#ck cares if they have a ski team. if you wanted to support the ski industy why would you give your money to multi-billion dollar Oakley. buying a product because of the team = gay = you are a jersey skiier.
 
anon made sick products, i loved the look and fit of their goggles. But now i will honestly think twice about buying a pair that doesn't support skiers. Fuck you anon. and it is true even go on www.anonoptics.com and check the team section....no skiers.
 
even most the smaller snowboard companies like airblaster and shit like skiing, pretty much every good snowboarder likes skiing, its all the gaper fags that snowboard twice a year that say "omg skiing is gay!!" and pretty much every gaper snowboarder buys burton so burton probably wanted to look good to them so they would keep buying their gay products.

anons werent bad goggles, but if its a part of burton its gay.

wow...  the retardedness of some of these posts is why i usually steer clear of ski gabber.  While I am no pro by any means, i do ride for anon.  I havent heard anything about this at all untill a friend pointed out this thread.  But, from what i can tell, i dont think they are dropping their skiers.  I got some of my stuff for next season already, and am going to talk to my rep soemtime next week to see if this is true. 

As far as anon quality goes... I used to ride electrics and oakleys mainly.  I bought one pair of electrics and was flabbergasted at how poorly they were made.   Mine fogged pretty much once a day...if I was lucky.  Oakley makes the best eyeware out there period.  Their optics are as good as Smith (if not better) and hey, they know how to make a goggle look cool!  Anon's optics i would say were getting about as good as Oakleys, i used both figments and realms last year and never had any problems with quality or optics.  Plus, the realms have one of the best features ive seen on goggles... the top vent pulls all the way out for hiking or hot spring skiing.  theyll never fog with that vent pulled.  Just my two cents, but anon is a pretty damn good company.

same boat as you im no pro but i get hooked up with anon goggles and i have heard nothing of this and ya people are retarded in here. anons are great goggles the only time they have ever fogged on me is after taking a hard fall and filling them with snow, if u give me a pair of goggles that dont fog when they are all wet i will stop wearing anon lol. anons are one of the best performing goggles and best looking goggles on the market. everyone can hate on burton but i would imagine a good percentage of kids in here have bought burton products before or even wear burton shit to this day. i see nothing wrong with burton although their suits and shit are all ugly this year their shit last year was pretty sick and the quality is amazing.
 
Only reason I ever liked Anon was because Pollard rocked them, and he rocked them damn well...

Not to mention all the other skiers on that team. Pulling just the skiers is so stupid in my opinion, because they had one hell of a competetive team going.

I must admit, i liked some of their styles... not going to lie about that...

but Smith destroys Anon/Red/Burton/Garmin whatever...

i'm rockin the smith holt and i'm still throwin up the Fuse Generators... proven technology and they look good.. and support skiing... 2 things i look for in a brand.

besides... smith has the best shit going for them with the clamp in the back of the strap. other companies are retarded for not having implemented it yet.
