Annoying instagram pages

I feel like every time I go on instagram I see some page called "getsendy" or "sendyskiing". And all they do is repost other skiing videos like ones from the newschoolers instagram. What do you guys think of them?
 
the skiing pages that exist solely to sell shirts are infinitely more annoying imo. I get follows from them way too often, and block them immediately, but they keep coming out of the woodwork somehow. Who the fuck buys that trash?

Remember all those NS clothing "companies" posts that would be started up by some kid who had a friend with a screen printer?

It's no worse than that.
 
The ones that are "love skiing" love mountains" and other varieties of ones that just repost other peoples pictures. And the random snowboarder with no mutual friends who wants to follow you
 
If I go into insta explorer ill see the same video reposted on 10-12 different account. All with some stupid follow giveway crap.

Yeah that shit is driving me nuts as well. I'm increasingly only getting on IG for a couple group chats that I'm a part of that I quite like. I can get enough skiing here on NS

Yeah ill check the insta stories, and if i dont see anything interesting in a few scroll im off the app.

Just to much crap. Its becoming like facebook.
 
^I've unfollowed a lot of accounts recently, even from pro skiers I enjoy watching. WAY too much reposting of the exact same content going on. x skier posts a video, then next thing you know your feed is all his sponsors and friends reposting it too.

the worst accounts are the ones that are like @(insert adjective like friendly, happy, cool)_skiing that sell stupid shirts and say "credit to the photographer :) " on all their posts. literally like 8 of those followed me this week.

I get these accounts following me all the time like “ski.ig” or “skiingislove” . It gets fucking annoying cuz you know they’re robots.

I feel you. I think Instagram is getting out of hand a bit, some people don't really know what they're doing on there and it's affecting others.

I'm currently taking a break from Instagram because of that. Instagram isn't a bad thing, I just think that we're not always using it in the right way, and that there's a lot of features on there to make people addicted
 
these pages are the absolute worst. So many of them constantly post photos from other skiers and ski photographers without permission in a shameless attempt to get attention for their page in an attempt to sell their shitty t shirts.
 
Yea they always copy my captions and without even tagging the riders. At the end of the day its just a flaw of instagrams copyright policy and the ski community are the victims of these assholes that want to sell their “fun” T-shirt’s. I make it a point to ask/get asked by all riders (besides twall and a few others back when I first started) before I post there content on my page. Eventually I feel like these pages will really hurt instagram in terms of people watching ski content. Upside is that people will probably start posting more full length edits which I think is needed right now.

Full length is a relative thing. Just ask any women. If you want "full length" go to YouTube or Vimeo or the Newschoolers player.

yea I remember seeing one of your posts and then right after seeing the exact caption and same video with no credit. Do you ever call them out?

Yea I’ve dmed them asking to give credit to the skier that’s in a video when they haven’t before (never got any responses) but yeah 0 fucks given about this stupid squid kid trying to get in the way between them and their t shirt cash.
 
Stuff like "liveloveski" and "sendy_jerry.ig" are just wack. When you like one ns photo or something, you get 10 request real quick.

Holy shit is that the actual orage Page? It would be pretty embarrassing, a company of that level shouldn’t have to stoop to such petty shit to try to expand their reach

lol I know the kid who runs the account on insta getsendy and I can confirm he doesn't ski and never has
 
yeah those accounts are super shit

but the upside of it is that I'm seeing unique skiing and snowboarding shots blow up on insta and people who don't ride lose their minds for it. it's good exposure for the sport.

I have friends that have never touched a pair of skis sending me clips (albeit weeks old) and saying holy fuck dude this is so sick I bet you could do that!
