Alot of you probably own them just as I do...has this happened to you? Thoughts? Do you think they will warranty it? Zippers are supposed to last longer than one year, neither of these did...

dude im pretty positive all their bags have a life time warrantee (rips and zippers falling off etc)email them or go to the store you bought it at and ask them about itsupposedly they send you a new bag

yupmy zipper broke after about a year.is it true about the lifetime warranty

they do have lifetime warranties and i plan to do so. however the store was closed when i wanted to go in today.
the process is that store sends it out to dakine, dakine inspects it to make sure its covered under the warranty and not from "regular wear and tear" which is what im thinking they will call it. and then even if they DO decide to warranty it you have no guarentee you will get the same bag / same colour and ill be rattled if they send me some emo / pink / gay backpack.
also, i end up having to buy another backpack because this is how they do their warranty so its just a perpetuating cycle. i can tell you what brand i wont be buying...

I'm going to counter this claim and state that I've had my Dakine backpack for 4+ years of hard wear and it looks as good as day one.

If it ever breaks I'll be buying a new one right away...quality product.

my only real complaint is that the buckels on the waist strap broke... and i have not been adimnet on finding a new one.. i end up just tying it in a knot.!
