Animated Star Trail timelapse test

Here is my first attempt at making an animated startrail photo

I put this together in After Effects, and for whatever reason, the render took 24 hours, and i am surprised my macbook didn't melt.

I was interested in seeing if anyone else had a better way of making this sort of video, and if there were any easier/less time consuming techniques.

Probably a bit slow, but wasn't going to re render this to make it a bit faster

Any questions let me know, and as always feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks

if i wanted to just do a regular timelapse yes

but this is different. if you can achieve this look with quicktime let me know.
 
Maybe you could make a photoshop action to create blended photos then put together in QuickTime?

You might be able to make that work?
