While not being a huge fan of skiing without poles, I can't say that it's a bad thing. Everyone should read the article 'The Tao of Pollard' on the Freeze site. He has some very valid points about why riding without poles from time to time can benefit your skiing.

And Andy is one of the last people you should hate on. He can ski the whole mt and do it with authority.
