You already knew how other people felt, yet like a kid with a bucket of gasoline you had to throw it on the fire.

That said, the Back Nine event was not really BC skiing. It was heli and snowmobile assisted jumps built up over natural features...these guys were not hiking or skiing 2000-vert chutes. They were being dropped off via snowmobile/heli to hit one jump at a time.

and BC means back country which is out of bounds. you may be confused with the term "big mountain". the back 9 took place in the BC.

well maybe he should, because people pay money to watch him ski. no poles just plain looks retarded, i dont see why youd want to ski without them.
 
This is an official quote from Johnny Decesare "Andy Mahre is officially the fastest switch skier in the business". He skied a line at the back nine faster than any of the other riders did regular...Poles or no poles, does it matter when the kid is shralping like that?
 
I think that the only thing thats gay about it is dissing him for not ussing poles when he can out ski you with more style on any terrain with out ussing poles. The fact that Andy can rip with no poles and ski better and have better style than 99.999% of all skiers just goes to show how great of a skier he is. The only reason that most of us use polesis that we need the added balance they give us, Andy doesnt, serious try to imagine what it would be like if he was ussing poles.

Ive spent many days iwht Andy in hte B.C. If I felt that it was a liability for him not to use poles, I wouldnt ski with him, but hte fact is he still moves faster than anyone else I know.
