Android Or Apple? THE FIGHT IS ON!

I have an Apple iPhone 4S and a Samsung Galaxy SIII (work phone.)Most of my computer gear is from Apple apart from my homebuilt media-center and a thinkpad (work PC.)

I like both phones,

I like the Galaxy for the endless customization, the raw power and the customization.

I like the iPhone for the smooth interface and attention to detail in the aspect of industrial design.

I hate the feel of the Galaxy do, it looks and feels so generic whilst the iPhone feels more expensive and solid. (At the cost of shattering glass, but you just shouldn't drop your phone at all.)

But in the end I mostly prefer the iPhone, when spec wise the Galaxy is better. Why?

It just works, the user experience is far better, especially if you already have other Apple devices.

With iOS I don't feel the need to customize everything where as with Android I do.

Also the App store houses far better quality apps.

It's just a finished product that works as it should and in an intuitive way, as it was intended.

Every one has different preferences but the best phone for you is the one you choose.

But it doesn't make the other phone worse. For another person another phone may be perfect and match his requirements.

There is no single "better" option when it comes down to opinion.

When I'm sailing I don't want my sensitive iPhone or Galaxy, I use my Sonim, for that situation it's perfect.

android is customizable out of the box, even if youre a noob. go to the play store, and download a launcher, not that l33t...

iphones do fuck up just like android phones, but for the most part, one can easily fix their android device rather than having to send it in to apple.

if you wanna play around with your phones options and have a shitload of things to try out, go android. if you want a good phone that has many limits and everyone and their mom has one, get an iphone.

I'm pretty sure everyone and their mom has one because they're better than any other smartphone out there. People don't buy phones to be hipsters, they buy them because they want a high-quality, functional device

they buy iphones because they think nothing can compare, but they are wrong and theyre just too stubborn/brainwashed to see it. i admit, the iphone is a great handset, but it is not the best. it looks nice and is easy to use, does that make it the best? macs look nice, does that make them the best? no.

androids are just as high quality and functional and iphones, and if you disagree, then you clearly havent used an android phone. why else would apple steal their ideas from android in ios5?

Wait until Blackberry 10 and come back to me.. For now yes Blackberry is doing horrible, but they are in transition to a new OS

I think there's a lot of just personal preference that goes into this kind of thing so theres not really a way that you can say one is better than the other. If someone is making videos/editing photos or doing other creative things, Macs are better, but for gaming and a lot of other purposes, PC's are better, so the "best" really varies from person to person, and varies with what you are planning on doing with the device.

the only one who sounds stubborn and brainwashed is your fat nerdy ass. Legit the reason iPhones are better is because they are not customizable (even though they do have the largest app store) because once you introduce 3rd party software and operating systems built by different companies than the hardware, shit goes haywire. Apple has done a great job confining it all into one synonymous, flowing system. Apple has also done a great job with marketing. And yes the iPhone is mainstream, but apple deserves this shit. they have done the best job marketing and building despite critics doubts. In my opinion, an android is the equivalent of a jailbroken iPhone i.e. third parties fuck things up.

I have a high end Android phone and love it. I would love to have an iPhone just for the simplicity but I would never be able to switch back. Droids just have so much more capability.

So you say iPhones have "many" limits, please educate us on the many useful things you can use with your droid that I can't with my iPhone?

I had a droid x btw for a solid year, it had shitty hardware, and even shittier software, made for a horrible headache of a phone. My iPhone does literally everything I need it to do without any hassles or bugs. Like I don't even care what the iPhone 5 has to offer because my iPhone 4s does everything I need it to do.

Like I am aware android has more to offer, but those things are for the most part pretty useless...
