ANDRE BERTONCIN and his life changing fall.

Im just sending out the love to the coolest kid i know. His name is Andre and on the 1st of 2006 he went to ski up in Taos, NM, as a normal but not so normal day. For those hu hav skiied Taos theyl know what chair #2 is, well its the one that gets you to the top and is a chair that doesnt really have any low spots. Well anyways he fainted on the lift and slid under the bar falling 30ft to ground, if the slope he landed on was flat he would be at least paralised or probly dead the the little 20 degree angle saved his life. His step-father is head of the mogle medical (Taos ski valleys medical facility) and herd sumone had fallen of a lift. He rushed up on a snowmobile and saw his lifeless sons pants...and jacket...and son still on the ground. He switched from father mode to docter mode imediatly. They got he down...ambulanced him to Taos hospital and helicoptered him to Albaquarqe. Yesterday jan 4th i went up to visit him. It killed me to see the pain from his mother Teresa and little sister Nataly and his whole family. He has shattered his pelvis and his pelvis has moved up around his organ area, hes fractured 6 ribs which have lead to a punctured spleen and lungs. He came out very very very lucky. He was the best freeskier out of our group and is probly the only one who had a chance at going any where with it... and there saying hell be lucky to be skiing in 2 years. He will b in the hospital for at least a month and the rehab on a wheelchair for at least 4 months, then he has to learn how to walk all over again. I am his best friend. Im preaty weak skier living in his shadow. This is a real story and it hurts me alot. It was hard to look at him, so fragile. He will b fine and hes alive so thats all i care. I hope who ever reads this thinks about Andre and sends him sone love. From Cooper to Anyone who reads and cares but mainly to Andre Bertoncin, well love you forever!
 
You are an idiot. This is a serious post and why the hell did you have to be a friggin tard? How would you feel if this happened to one of your friends and you tried to express your anguish to people and some little tard comes online and makes a joke of it?

on a nother note. I hope Andre gets better and I feel sorry for him. I knwo what it is like to see someone you know airlifted off a ski hill. IT sucks shit. and I hope everything goes ok in recovery

I'm sorry about your loss of a friend who you got to share something you loved with, and for him for losing the same. Get him skiing though once he can, even if its only green groomers..... you know what they say, the worst day of skiing is better than the best day of work
 
shit, sorry to hear. Hopefully he gets better. make sure he comes through it strong, the better attitude he has the faster he will be back skiing.
 
that's so sad, good luck to your friend and his family. my mountain doesn't have safety bars, but if i'm ever on a lift with one -- i'm pulling it down.
 
Haha, i didn't say anything disrespectfull. Actually I even wished him good luck. You need to relax. Quit being such a sensitive pussy.
 
does that mean since he has to learn to walk again that he has to learn to ski (if he evr does again), and hope he gets better...
 
i send my best out to him, friends, and family, and hold them all in my prayers. one question though: how come he fainted?

i was going to quote his post and just take that phrase out when i read it, but then i realized that his best friend is nearly dead and decided against it.

Man thats awful. Ive skied taos and i know exactly where your talking about, thats so brutal. Best of luck to him and i hope he recovers.
 
i believe you did. In his post NZ says that he was upset to see andres mother, Teresa upset over her sons condition. then you had your smart ass remark He knows mother teresa? which i think was uncalled for.
