...and then I found five dollars

found 20 dollars with coke pressed on it from whoever was grinding it down. on the gangway to the boat dock in vancouver false creek. some fisherman probably. they like their cocaine.

last year in the lift line at snoqualmie, I saw this piece of paper on the ground, but I was too lazy to pick it up, thinking it was a receipt or something. guy behind me did, it was an $100 dollar bill ):

Finding cash is one of the most awesome thing in the world hands down. I make an effort to use to buy something awesome. Last time I found cash it was 50NZD and I got myself some new earphones. To say the least I was stoked.

back in high school some kids in front of me were kicking a blank envelope down the hall and they eventually left it so i picked it up and opened it up to find 5 crisp 20 dollar bills. win win win...

I found $50 on Friday. So stoked, although it was in my pocket in the washing machine. But for all intents and purposes it was lost and not included in my current financial valuation. WOOT!

i have commercial fished tuna in the pacific for 2 weeks on end. several trips throughout the summer. out there you don't fuck around. maybe a drink at the end of the day, but you don't get out of control, and certainly not high on drugs. i drank beers with a captain of a tuna boat addicted to crack and heroin and he was clean for the time he was on the ocean and when he got back he would blow it all away again. its sad, but thats fishermen for you. spend it as quickly as they get it. if i was a deckhand and the captain was getting high, i'd get off the boat after the first trip.

^that's sick

but yeah i was just messing around, i know you gotta be on the ball out there. though that doesn't necessarily mean fishers arent getting all yakked out sometimes..

first day back to school today, so i was walking to school at 8 am, still half asleep and grumpy and shit, then bam, 10$ bill on the ground, wadup.
