And I'm fucked....

that makes sense. my point still remains that you cannot buy alcohol, regardless of age, in many college stadiums yet you don't see instances like that of the OP with adults.

can't bring bottles into game. sneak it in cowgirl boots or pocket shots. they don't serve alc in the stadium either to anyone.

besides the drinking ages being different, where is the difference? when i studied abroad in spain there was really no difference between the drinking habits of the americans and the spanish kids where it was legal for all of us to drink.

i dont know the rules with college stadiums, so i'll trust you on that one, but it still applies for professional sports. i've heard plenty of stories about kids who drank way too much hard alcohol at once in an attempt to get drunk enough to last the whole game and it ending badly, but stopped doing it once they turned 21 because they could just buy drinks as they felt they needed to as the game went along and were fine. adults don't do it because they don't feel the need to party the way younger kids do, not because they are smarter or more responsible or whatever else.

but this is silly, neither of us have any actual evidence to support what we are saying. i guess it comes down to me trusting the intelligence of people more than you do

and therein lies your problem. never trust in the intelligence of people because you will be let down damn near every time. People are idiots. If you haven't learned this yet, you will.

this is a dumber statement than OPs. Look up any European country or one with a lower drinking age and look at the statistics of teen drinking and alcohol related crimes, hospitalizations and deaths. How do they compare to the US?

I actually graduated from a college where you are allowed to buy beer at games and every post your make is either trolling or your a fucking retard. kids who are 18 and want to drink will get their hands on it regardless. outlawing liquor only accomplishes two things, setting up a black market with inflated prices that real low life shit bags will sell to anyone and creating a social taboo that is enticing to young kids seeking for ways to rebel. I've spoken to several officers about underage drinking and selling beer in the stadium and they have all told me the same thing. letting people buy beer stops them from sneaking in hard alcohol and creating scenarios much like the one you recently found yourself in. you're irresponsible actions and subsequent posts are only solidifying the argument against you and every brainless little shit that acts like you.

meh. not trusting people having no real reason not to trust them seems like kind of a shitty way to live

we've already been over this. the us is not europe. the cultures surrounding alcohol are different. if you think that the us will magically adopt the european culture overnight, you're an idiot. would it happen eventually? sure, in probably about 10-20 years. but not before instances like that in the OP exploded.

But you'll be better off and get fucked over a lot less doing that rather than trusting people you have no reason to trust.

how exactly are they different? you keep saying they are different but haven't once explained what the difference is

like i said, seems like a shitty way to live life. same to you, k.wags and how old are you? 50? if not, i dont see why you think you are so wise as to talk down to everyone else here as if we are all little children, and you alone are old enough to know anything of worth about life

if not getting fucked over is a shitty way to live life, then yeah, I guess it is. and i certainly wasn't trying to talk down to you, although your blind trust in everyone does in fact make me believe that you are a child. how old am I? out of college, out of grad school, and several years in to my professional career, i.e. 31...so I'm guessing I have ya by a couple of years.

re: the culture, it is generally held that since europeans are exposed to alcohol at a much younger age, they are more responsible in regard to binge drinking.

I had to learn the hard way not to give everyone you meet your trust right away. My belief on that is based out of experience not just something I decided. There are a lot of shitty people in the world. Its just a matter of time until you run into one that fucks you over because you trusted someone you didn't know.

What exactly do you mean by exposed to? one could argue that American kids are exposed to plenty of ads and cultural references to drinking at an early age as well. I still think you're wrong about the claim that it'll be 10-20 years of worse drinking habits by today's youth before it gets better an looks like Europe. First I'm not sure how much worse it can get than the current situation as illustrated by our OP. second I think it'll get better instantly because it's something kids need to get out of their system and experience what it does while under someone's supervision. In my experience kids that are horrible drunks in college are the ones who didn't drink before they got to school because of whatever reason. Then they lose control think its really cool and fuck their lives up. It is very much a cultural issue but I think it has to do with the glorification of alcohol in the media rather than the drinking age.

You're both an idiot and a scrub.

Sounds like you handle alcohol about as well as Lattimore's knee handles opponents helmets.

not necessarily blind trust, but i dont walk around assuming everyone i meet is an idiot who would like nothing more than to fuck me over at any opportunity.

again, when i went abroad the drinking habits of the european kids were the same as us americans when we were all legally allowed to drink. and even if you are right, why not lower the age, if not to 18 right away, than gradually to a point where americans can be just as responsible. because it's not like the drinking age being 21 stops kids from drinking and in a lot of cases just makes it less safe because kids don't want to get themselves or friends in trouble and are reluctant to call for help if it is at all borderline necessary

fuck all you kids.OP may have gone full retard but when he posted this thread I don't think he was expecting all of NSG to act like his parents. I'm disappointed in newschoolers. You guys think you're so mature.

think of it like this:

if one of your good friends came up to you and told you the same story that OP had, would you call him a pussy lightweight, a disrespectful retard and a pathetic idiot? I hope not, because that's pretty fucking soft.

inb4 "I don't hang out with dipshit lightweight freshmen"

I would tell my friend he's a fucking idiot, because its a stupid thing to do, and trying to brag about is even dumber. Also no I don't hang out with people who would do that. I like to be around people that have at least half a brain.

Put it into context. Don't act like you were never a freshman.

I just don't see how this thread is much different than that guy who lost one of his eyes a week or two ago. The guy was piss-pants plastered, tried to bike home, ate shit and went blind in one eye because of it and everybody replied with "oh +k man that sucks hope you feel better! wicked story man!".

Now this kid posts about how he was roughly the same type of wasted at a football game and everyone attacks him like he's the only person who's ever been irresponsibly drunk at a football game before.

but if you guys want to feel superior, continue sifting your brandy, puffing tobacco from hugh heffner pipes, and enjoying your fine literature by the fireplace.

i would. why is that at all soft? and the real reason op is such an idiot is because he's clearly so proud of himself for this. if one of my friends did this yeah, we might laugh about it, but not in a "look what i did guys, aren't i the fucking coolest?" kind of way

I am far from proud of my actions. The amount of repercussions are extensive.

In regards to punishment, I have Behavior Intervention Team. After two sessions I can get referred to a class that meets for 6 weeks at 27.50 per meeting so total of 165 dollars. If i can complete this class I will not be pursed by university police for the MIP and also won't be getting a judicial through USC. I am fucking stoked.

I agree with you about the differing cultures but i disagree with your views about trust. i'm not religious at all, but the only place i hold faith is in people. if you give people a chance most will surprise you.sure you might get screwed a few times but overall i believe you live a richer life.

i've left the keys in the ignition of my truck for years regardless of where i am and have never had a problem. seeing my friends fiddle with locks, lose keys, and get locked out like a waste of time. and that's just one small aspect of the trust issue. having even a little trust in people will save you a lot of time throughout your life

fuckin lucky

sounds like the girl whose clothes you messed up cost more than the classes you are ordered to attend

We told him the truth because we're not his friends or his parents were the Internet. I don't know what op was thinking but the way he made the exaggerated claim of how much he drank in as little of time as he did and the went into a public venue surrounded by cops was basically asking for trouble and asking for a barrage of insults to be thrown his way.

Getting kicked out of housing would suck ass, but at least if you get your own place you can throw partys off campus. Fines are just money, go whore yourself out to some cougars for the weekend and you'll be good.

You should just fuck with the counsellors, make up some shit about a gay pirate ghost that follows you and only goes away when you drink or something weird like that.

well, we were originally speaking of trust in the intelligence of people more so than the nature of their heart.

but really? you leave your keys in your ignition? where the fuck do you live and what kind of truck do you drive? my guess is that answer has a lot to do with your trust in people.

holy shit. I never knew that a shot was 1.5 oz. I mixed drinks all of the time but I just always use this spoon thing that has a double and a single and I always assumed it was 1oz and 2oz. Are those tall shotglasses 3oz? I'm canadian. we don't use oz unless talking about alcohol or weed.
