An example of Sarah Burke's kindness...

Years and years ago I replied to a thread on here titled something like "who's the hottest skier?". There were a number of replies but I was kinda pissed that everyone was like "oh I'd do Kristi" or "my god Sarah is so hot" yada yada yada.

I posted a reply saying that no doubt Sarah is beautiful but it was equally as impressive to see her push the sport and see her be a leader. Then I wished Sarah a pleasant night.

Definitely thought I was getting punked when I got this e-mail, turned out to be legit. E-mailed her back encouraging her to keep it up, and that was it. Saw this in my e-mail today and thought I would share.

Sarah Burke was one hell of a skier, not to mention a beautiful, kind, and amazing person.

Rest in Peace, and best wishes to Rory and her family and friends.
 
I got to spend a lot of time with her at momentum ski camps, and she is truly one of the nicest people I have ever met. A very loving, and enthusiastic person. Even while she was busy and super involved at Mount Snows Dew Tour a couple years ago she took time out of her few days their to engage and talk with me whenever we crossed paths.

She taught me how to slide my first flat down... S.I.P. Sarah.

Thank you. Gus. It's sad to see that there are people like that in this world. I think another example of kindness from her Is the massive snow storm she's blessing us with in Utah. Thanks Sarah.
 
i couldnt ski for sarah today, but she is sending the heavenly powder my way tomorrow. can you say pow day? RIP sarah, shred the pillows of heaven
 
I didn't have a pow day today, but it seems like many did. I would say that is a wonderful example of kindness.

Goes to show that she wasn't only an amazing skier, but a really beautiful person inside and out. What a loss of such an inspiring person. SIP
 
Its just really really shitty. It just keeps sounding more and more like she was just a completely awesome person. I just feel so goddamn bad for Rory. To find the Perfect girl and have her love you enough to marry you and then have it all taken away months later...damn.

Its super cliche, buy really; god must of needed an angel.

Its always sunny and soft where they are now.

Dude that's awesome thanks for sharing, also i'm so sad about what happenned but its something that you just have to accept in this sport because anything can happen. Ski in Peace Sarah, you will be missed.
