i just saw this awesome urban rail and i thought up of something. it would b awesome if some1 made like an urban rail finder. people would upload pictures, descripitions, and locations of rails to a mapping program like google earth and then you could find and check out all the urbans in ur area w/o having to drive around. yes/no?

there is a facebook group in my area called barrie and surrounding area handrails and hits and that has all the good urbans around me

Anyone know google earth/maps good. Cause I know you can put locations with info on them somehow. Like Ive seen mountain bike trails posted as location with info when you click on it. Im gonna check it out.

I made a new map and I made it so anyone can contribute to it. I say when you post a new rail, put a picture or description with it. Its kinda like using the picture thing for newscholers toolbar.

I have a DVD that goes through every major area in Utah (Ogden, Salt Lake, Lehi, Provo, St. George)-- and it shows a slideshow of a ton of rails/ ledges / gaps with an address below. Some of the spots are crazy-- like a movie theatre sign that coul be turned into a gap to rainbow to gap off. Lots of sick spots. I think one of my friend's snowboarding buddies made it.

Yeah. it'd be sick for us, but film companies would absolutely hate it. It would blow up so many rails making them not as exciting in movies, and more likely to get knobbed. And part of the fun it hitting handrails is finding them.

Not a fan of your plan. Too many rails would get played too quickly. It would be a bummer. If I hit a rail and then found out a different crew did more than me on it a couple days later, Id be pissed. Similar to locations of BC jumps.
