Amplid slider plate?

how does it work tho. like do you mount the plate to the ski then mount the bindings to the plate? is it just like a lifter or something?

Im pretty sure that the plate itself is fastened to the ski, and you screw and unscrew the bindings into the plate. I believe the plate has 8mm of lift-the same depth of the screw for a VIST binding

sort of the same principle as a snowboard with the pre-drilled holes and the idea of the reactor binding. The plate is mounted to each ski, so you can easily removed or attach the bindings. "3 pairs of skis and one binding." I haven't heard anything about them yet tho, but its a good idea.

Its a great concept, but to be honest, all of those systems I've seen have been heavy as shit. I know its possible to make a lighter system, but I'm just not sure the technology is there yet for it. I would love to have something like this tho, it makes so much sense and is so much better than having to buy three pairs of bindings for you quiver.

It's like 2 notches for the toe piece and the heel piece, and then the toe piece and heel piece have long holes on them that slide under the notches on the ski. You can then move the toe and heel pieces back and forward on the notches, and there are 3 sets of 2 pre-drilled holes that you then screw the toe and heel pieces into. So there is basically 3 settings for your toe piece and heel piece. This means you can adjust boot size and your mounting point. Its pretty sick, but yeh, it is kinda heavy. Amplid are switching to tyrolia bindings for the 08/09 line, so watch for that!!
