Amplid Rockwell

I'm looking at buying a fresh pair of skis and I like the look of the Rockwells and K2s Poachers, I know there's a lot of love for the Poachers but I can't really find any reviews on the Rockwells. Any of you guys skied them or got any thoughts on them?

I have a pair of Rockwells from a few years back. Really solid, versatile ski. Good Shape for variable snow conditions. I have skied them fast on east coast ice and skied a variety of conditions in Jackson. Also, bullet proof sidewall construction.

I agree, except I'm totally opposite on their durability. My pair was 15\16 or something like that and that was the most fragile skis I ever had. I also saw other amplids with blown sidewalls, delamed and one pair snapped in half

Thanks for responding, the shape and side cut really intrigued me, mostly worried about durability which sounds great, when did you get them?

Three years ago. I think things like delamming just happen at certain rate to all skis, somewhat regardless of the quality of the build. All I can say is I've skied over rocks, hit rails, and even urban and my sticks are as functional now as when I got them. That I know of, Amplid has a pretty good reputation for build quality.
