they're kinda like a reactor/deadbolt crossbreed

they look just like the deadbolt, but you can mount a plate to multiple skis and just detach the binding from one and put it on another

so, you could get deadbolts, and mount them to all of your skis with just the plates and only need 1 pair of bindings?

slider plates just 240g, not sure how much the freedom plate was, or what part of the reactor weighed a lot
 
if its anything like the vist demo plate.. it sucks. You gotta crank the hell out of the fwd pressure to even keep it attached to your feet, b/c there is so much 'play' in the connection of the plate and the binding.
 
ya no one had a jig for mine either but the shop got one fedexed to them in a day so it was all good.

and yeah that plate would work with the deadbolt because deadbolt = amplid = vist = best binding ever.

vist bindings fucking suck. they are all the same, and that demo platte, although a good idea, hasn't changed since they came out with it, and it sucked then too.

Its a new Ski Co. I saw at SIA.. they have a vist too. haha.

But I disagree with the suck factor.
 
If by 'pieces of shit' you mean the most celebrated race -stock binding ever created, one that the companies tried to do away with in favor of streamlining their product and couldn't make it last more than one year because the demand for the old design was so high...yes.

but idk why they decided this year to do away with it. fks' owns, i love them, super durable, and not really heavy

i know they'll bring it back
 
besides the fact it's not a ninthward product, it'a a vist product with nintward stamped on it. Cute.
