in the article it says: There will also be alternate ways of getting down the mountain aside from a snowboard, a not-so subtle hint from Seymour of other craziness that will come from Amped 3........................ This might be referring to skis, but maybe not i dont know.

LOS ANGELES--Next-generation sports game fans have two more reasons to be happy. 2K Sports, a brand of Take-Two Interactive, has announced that the Xbox 360 has netted Top Spin 2, the sequel to the critically acclaimed Xbox game, and Amped 3, the third snowboarding game.

The Top Spin and Amped licenses were acquired from Microsoft when Take-Two purchased the Utah-based developer responsible for the games. The studio, now called Indie Built, recently announced Top Spin for the PlayStation.

In Top Spin 2, gamers will be able to play as, with, or against 24 professional players, including Andy Roddick, James Blake, Roger Federer, and Maria Sharapova. A new create-a-player function using the new DigitalIdentity system allows gamers to customize characters' look, from physical features to wardrobe.

With the new high-definition technology of the 360, the graphics will see improvements in the players' animations, stadiums, and crowds. Top Spin 2 will also have new strokes, including all new risk shots.

The Amped series, which has ridden on the Xbox since 2001, takes a third run down the mountain on the Xbox 360. Amped 3 lets riders customize tricks, boarders' clothes, and runs. The story-driven single-player mode will see gamers trying to save their buddies from trouble on the mountain.

There's no word on whether or not the games will be available at the Xbox 360's launch this fall.

if you watch the demo you can see someone skiing by the shop when they race by the lodge at mid mountain. i think that skiing will be in the game but not the main focus

They better not make Amped 3 like T.H.U.G. cause it would be completely gay and I wouldn't play it, the whole tony hawk underground idea ruined the franchise. you heard it here first.

 
I'd have to say snowskating was gay in Amped 2. I snowskate and all but man, it was waaay too complicated to pull off tricks unless by accident. ollie. kick on to a rail, do a sick styled grind on it and then spin like hell off. Thats like 17.4389734687364897 buttons to push.

i just have to say they had N* in their video! we still gotta wait untill a better game then ssx4 will be about skiing. Amped would be the best game ever if they put skiing in it

if you guys are talking about where it says "taking a third run down the mountain" it means its amped 3 not three ways to get dow, because i cant find where it says there is more than one way down

Guys settle down, there will be skiing in the game. Now how they represent skiing in the game... Well you may have just wanted them to leave it out all together.

 
i agree with town...i doubt you can actually ski...there might just be skiiers you have to beat up or hate on or some gay shit....if that was the case i would burn the game and start hating on everyone involved in that game.....hopefully it wont come to that

 
What? It's what makes games interesting, the difficulty. I really enjoyed the snowskate missions, a nice change, you know, you don't need to flip, grind grind grind bullshit, just style it out and you only have to press like two buttons.

yes. this is true. i don't see why they would start now. i'm buying it for sure. amped 2 is one of my all-time favorite games.

it sux that theres no skiing in the game but it sux even more that they are changing the entire format to stupid little kiddy arcade games goin on half the time that ur playin, they shoodnt have messed with a good thing.
