haha well i unlocked this video of the one editor for snowboarder magazine and at the end he said if snowboarders werent creative they would probably be skiing...

look at it from a snowboarders perspective, all they see are little skier kids pretending to be snowboarders, doing everything they do. where is the creativity in that?

well its true in a snowboarders perspective jake burton created the snowboard because he was bored with skiing and they made a whole shit load of tricks... and without freestyle snowboarding, freestyle skiing probably would have started way later. and he is right we get most of our tricks from rollerblading and snowboarding

Someone should make a thread saying how we all support a newschool skiing game and send it to EA games or some big company. Even if it was half skiing half snowboarding like that new game ATV vs. MX unleashed. If anyone has connections to a company or knows someone who does make a thread.

 
who are we copying, by being skiers we are already part of the few. As far as i know there less and less kids each year wanting to be skiers, more people want to snowboard because it is "cooler" so as far as i know i'm fine being a skier. How can we copy their tricks, I mean theres pretty much spinning and flipping, thats freestyle, wat else can u do?

wow, some people get all fired up about this, i'm a snowboarder who used 2 ski so i sorta c where all of this is comin from. snowboarders wouldn't snowboarding w/o skiing, and skiing wouldn't have progressed like it has with out snowboarding. over all i dont really c a big deal about any of it. just go ride, f*ck all the politics and shit involved it both sports

So Ryan... you are telling me that if Anon came to you tommorow and said "You're a great skier, and we'd like to pay you to be on our pro team and we'd like you to represent our product and our company." you'd extend them a big double middle finger?

I find that hard to belive.

What they are doing IS NOT a sell out manuouver. Fact of the matter is, Anon doesn't NEED to sponsor skiers to continue their existance. They were doing more than alright before they started a ski team. Skier kids would be buying their product regardless of wether or not they have a professional team of skiers representing them.

Anon is doing skiing a favor by sponsoring athletes, they are adding capital to the industry and increasing the overall bottom line.

That is a good thing in my opinion.

 
yea we've already tried to do this petition thing for a ski game... it was like 15 pages long i think except nothin ever happened with it...
