I know New York passed a state law banning auto weapons that is permenant. Not sure on PA law though.

Banning all guns will accomplish nothing. Unless you can rid the streets of all weapons, murders will still occur. It's just another law for the murdered to break. Do you really think that the murderer is going to give 2 shits that he broke the law saying that he can't have a gun when he has already slaughtered someone?

All you would do is make criminals of good citizens, and add another mark onto the record of an already-criminal murderer.

Plus, take all the weapons away from citizens, and it would be very easy to in the future for atrocities to happen in this country. It could happen. Not saying it would, but the possibility would be there because people couldn't fight back. it's happened all throughout history i other nations where a corrupt government instilled fear and committed atrocities. Imagine a world where the only people with firearms are the government, and imagine how easy it would become to instill fear if someone so choosed.

Look at why we were given the "Right to bear arms" in the first place. The united states was forged on the revolution and won with yes, firearms. Now imagine if the colonists didn't have weapons...

Would be the most assanine idea ever to take away weapons from the public.

i think there are way to many guns but its to late to try and ban guns and there is no way to prevent crazy fuckers from getting guns and the sickest part is all these people seem normal until they do shit like this

i dont think that would help in any way. yes, we've had better presidents and he could of made much better choices when we we were dealing with Iraq. but dont blame this on one person.
 
ok, here is a more direct view of why I think banning firearms could be a good thing: I am standing 30 feet away from a man, holding a gun. Pressing the trigger will do the deed. Throwing a knife would be a lot harder, and I think firearms (and gunpowder) are so fucking terrible for that reason, that a push on a trigger takes no effort whatsoever and can end someone's life. Sure, hunting is nice, not everybody is crazy, and if firearms were banned illegal trafficking would develop (already exists), but your average milkman, like in that story, might not go through the trouble of getting a weapon illegally.

The right to bear a weapon, sure, a firearm, not necessary...

This guy was NOT your average man. it has turned up that he had alledgedly molested young girls (relatives) when he was 12 or 13. He was having dreams of committing those acts again. He was a timebomb waiting to happen.

Yes, guns are bad. We all know that, but since the chinese invented gunpowder and started the whole firearm thing, we are doomed to them forever. There is no way to eliminate firearms from society while still allowing proper checks and balances to occur.

the shooting was literally 10 minutes from my house, and like 5 minutes from my school, so we were all really freaked out when they told up about it in class. we had alot of moments of silence. R.I.P
 
it deff happened like 30 min from my house. that's so rediculous....whta a sick dude. He was seeking revenge for something that happened 20 years ago. bahhh!! the amish dont deserve that. they never hurt anyone.

And lets look at prohibition. remember that time in history when alcohol was illegal? there were more alcoholics then, than in any other time in history. It the cookie jar syndrome. When mommy says that you can't have cookies before dinner, it makes you want one even more, until you just have to steal that cookie. Mommy says no guns, all the naughty little boys go and get some on the underground market
 
Yea, that's fucking bullshit. I mean honestly, of all the schools to go into, don't go into an Amish school. They are the most trusting and passive people on the planet. Hope the fucker rots in hell.
 
i just read the newspaper story on it...they said he lined all the little girls up at the chalkboard and shot em in the head...and that he was planning to molest them. if that dude didnt kill himself i mighta gone and done it myself
