Hey guys i live in the U.K and i've just managed to get a hold of the latest issue of freeskier. I was shocked to see how much you guys are paying for your skis ecspecially Salomon, new 1080's seem to be retailing for $775 not sure if that is with bindings or not but its still far far too much. I've just bought a pair of 1080's with bindings for £348 which is $522! If you guys are interested go to www.snowandrock.com its not where i bought mine and slightly more expensive but still only $537.75 for 1080's with binding. Its the biggest store in the U.K and ships internationally. Just thought i'd let you know, doesn't seem fair the price you have to pay.

dont worry scotland no one is paying that much for 1080s especially anyone on this forum I would hope...in the stores in California they retail for about 500 or so so your about right on track for anyone who doesnt have a connection or an in at a ski shop.

you can always get skis at least 300 below msrp ya just have to look i got motherships for 200 and pow airs for 215 both new

skis are still too expensive. They should be like 20 bucks. Then they would probably be made of cardboard or something sweet like that.

There is nothing motherly about mother nature. Except for her big mountainous breasts.

cardboard skis, im starting a company that makes em in my back yard, next big thing...

Being Irish, I guess I should resent the Notre Dame nickname 'The Fighting Irish.' After all, how long do you think nicknames like 'The Bargaining Jews' or 'The Murdering Italians' would last? Only the Ironic Irish could be so naively honset. I get the feeling that Notre Dame came real close to naming itself 'The Fuckin Drunken, Thick-Skulled, Brawling, Short-Dicked Irish'

Well salomon 1080s retail for around 650 CANADIAN here, so if your paying over 500 american for your 1080s your getting ripped huge.

well you an idiot because here in the states they dont cost that much i think they just say that shit so people feel like there getting a deal when they buy skis. My freind just bought 1080s for 489.00 and i bought my scratchs in august for 489.00 also

all the bullshit that i see so much i can't believe grown man just tryin' to be true to myself impossibly i may not ever get rich might wind up diggin' a ditch i won't cry no i won't bitch i wont back down and i'll never quit it is my badge of pride -hardcore 'til the day i die just tryin' to survive i won't back down or apologize

Well actully thats just somthing they do to make people bye there shit. Have u noticed that skis always say like, regular 750 but on sale for 600, well thats just a selling scam that they do, the mag is just saying the 'regular' prize

Me:You should give me all your money so I can bye the new scratchs

Myles: Why would I want to do that,

Me: If you do I'l let you ride them

Myles: I snowboard

Me: o shit, well I could ummmm.... let you masturbate to the grafics

Myles: o great...

Canadian prices rock, for example, the MNPs retail for $500 American but D-structure is selling them for $600 Canadian. That's Funny. Also, the 1260s are about $460 American but they're $580 Canadian.

o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o

Dean: Who cares? Why won't you let us have any fun?

damn that snowandrock.com website is sick, they have good deals. is that store in europe though? if it is, i wonder how much shipping is.

You should really never pay mid season shop prices for your gear. Always buy at the end of the season. I got my new Pow'Airs in march from Corbett's for only $375, which still isn't the greatest deal, but it's way better than like $500 or $600 for the same skis in January or February.

Cheers Darryl

skiandsnowboards.com is truly the best. Good prices for Canadians, Amazing prices for Americans. Definately check it out before you pick your skis up somewhere else.

I don't how much snowandrock is charging for shipping, but I just got my V-Pro beginning of the week: $499 incl shipping and all from freeskishop.net. Sweet deals, e.g. 1080 is USD479 incl. shipping. They ship via FedEx, I had my V-Pro after 4 or 5 days...

cardboard throw away skis... use them once.. maybe for your average tourist 5 days... i think you are on to something

The best sales are on right before he season starts, previous years stuff is like 1/2 price.

ever wonder if iliterate people get the full effect of alphabet soup???

I don't care how much skis cost. I've got far too much money to have good sense

I break them and I buy a new pair. Make that with gold plated tops and stick on breasts at the front

I love gymnastics and trampolines but nothing beats a 'Gymnastic Tramp' for fun
