so..in history class, we have to write an essay describing someone we believe that has values modern americans today believe in..i was thinking of writing on a sports figure, and without a doubt chose Tanner Hall, but i have some trouble on starting the paper, and facts on how he represents values. any help?

well...i would say that he is a really hard worker and really dedicated to the sport he loves

resilient and dedicated

its usually easier to decide on someone because they represent those values clearly, not because you like them so you have to ask for help.

hes had like 9 sick interviews lately... jon olsson video blog, new news story, says some sick shit in one of the SIA edits, and on red bulls website.

why is it that so many people want to write about skiers for papers that are completely unrelated to skiing or the skier? i'm sorry, but this just ain't the time to write about T-Hall so all your classmates will know how rad you are for being a core skier.

when you're asked to write about how smoking massive amount of ganj and listening to reggae all the time can influence the way you see bc skiing, that's when writing about Tanner would be appropriate, but asked about American values... come on, there are over 300 million people in this country and you want to use Tanner Hall as the basis for your American values paper? you really can't think of a better example?

you chose tanner hall? wtf??? are you an idiot?

seriously, put some goddamn thought into this paper.

well, tanner hall is a terrible choice, but.....

Hard work- he spends his whole life working to be the best. He recovers from injuries faster than most people expect cause he trains so hard.

Entrepreneurial Spirit- Helped start armada, if he even really did that. He may have just been one of their first sponsored skiers.

Other than that, he basically doesn't display many. I mean, he smokes weed all the time, listens to rap music, tries to act like he's black, and makes a fool of himself and skiers every time he talks or is on camera at the X-games.

tanner hall for american values? are you serious?

there are hundreds of people that would be way better. think. you don't have to do a skier to show everyone how much of a gnar skier you are.

tanner hall? god, don't use him, there are like a billion other people that are sooo much easier to write about.

like candide thovex

I think you should write something about American Selfishness and a lack of responsibility -- there are way more examples of selfish Americans who avoid picking up the bill than the dream crap of hard working, honest, and free.

The world pretty much hates us, you can take this time to understand what values we've screwed up that have put us in this position, and be more prepared for the future when it's your turn to be the generation in control.
