fuck this country is full of morons. the mindset seems to be that we need to keep the same leadership though times of hardship. so who is with me for a second term for Hoover?

What i mean is that electing Bush again would be like electing Hoover again durning the Depression. Im not saying we are in a depression, but it is the idea of shitty times. Things arnt going right so we elect the same leader. Now some of you may argue that it is not Bush's fault that things arnt going right, that is a different issue.

how were we in a mess when Cliton left?

if i weren't for credit cards and what not we would be a lot closer to a 'depression', but what i'm aware of is we are in a pretty bad position in terms of amount of people w/out jobs.

question for jaross: which of hoovers policies were responsible for the depression? after FDR took over, and instituted the new deal, did the depression end?

point being that to a) put blame squarly on hoover for the depression is rediculous, and b) to compare this time in history to the 30's is equally silly.

well, it is that general idea and it can appily to today, just like it did then. Change is the basis for us liberals so it is partially my way of thinking vs. yours also...

you cant say that the depression was 100% not his fault and he had nothing to do with it.
