just watched it. amazing. probably the best movie ive seen since the departed. that scene on the street with the big black guy is nuts. then he just walks back inside like nothing happens
 
another great epic performance by denzel. Its cool how the movie makes u sympathetic with both richie roberts and frank lucas, eventhough lucas was clearly the bad guy.

Did everyone else think of the Godfather when they have the montage at the end of everything happening while he was at church?
 
fucking gangster flick.  i copped a bootleg from a chinese lady in chinatown.  and you can see boom mics and crews in any movie i feel like. in the royal tenenbaums you can see the entire crew behind the camera filming in a reflection.
 
Bumping this. Just rented and holy shit twice as good the 2nd time. I understood who was who so much better. definatly one of my top 10 favorite movies of all time. If you haven't seen it now rent it or buy it.

and best movie along with the departed. I would say departed over it though.
