Going this weekend to American Dream in New Jersey from Ohio to make fun of jerries and hit some rails for the first time in since March. What do you guys think about indoor ski resorts? Obviously they’re horrible compared to normal resorts but to knock some rust off and do some offseason progression it may be okay idk never been. Peace from da Middle East

This is a trip purely to flex. On Jerries, on NS, on anyone not living the American Dream. I fuck with it.

Created a NS account to make one flex post. BigNol? Mo' like BigFlex

My homie got us in on Monday before they opened, he knows the park manager of mountain creek and they run the park at American Dream. The place is sick for an indoor resort.

The setup is

first roller Really nice down tube, Next to it is a large box feature, like butter box that is a down box

Next: 2 jumps side by side. The bigger on the right is pretty good. Could get a 7 around if you send it.

Next: Is a battle ship box on the left and on the right is a rainbow rail

Last features are 2 snowboard style Volcano features like you see at mammoth. If you want to get sketchy and go big you could try and gap from the first to the second. The first volcano on the left has a steep takeoff so it would buck you if you weren't ready.

I'm going tomorrow so pretty stoked

How was it? I heard indoor skiing can get kind of icey, was it bad? I definitely want to check it out regardless next time I'm down there

I think they keep it warm enough so it's not too icy

It was pretty good. Basically like skiing fresh groomers. Not that cold but definitely not as slushy as spring skiing. Did get a bit icy later in the day

Been there 4 times already and I can't stop. Spent $80 on a 6 session pass and it was so worth it. Any park is a good park when its September.

about 1/3 of the place is a park. Just watch out for the gapers, snow bikes, campers and shitty snowboarders in the park.

actually a pretty good park, hard snow parts icy especially in the berm.

They have the whole right side as a park now...and a tow rope?...only big boulder peeps will understand the reference. It’s no resort but if you get the 6hr pass and have your own gear...each 2 hr session is pretty cheep. If you go on off peak time you really get the place to yourself and can get a good workout in.

I posted one line from the place last week. Should find it under latest vids if u wanna see the set up they got in there.

What's with those 2 snow mounds at the end of that video?! Just piles for later or something? Sketchy tranfer from one to the other??

The two mounds at the end are gone.

When they were there, I was landing a jump a snowboarder snaked my line a second before landing and made me wipe out. My ribs still hurt and have some scratches still.

Yes.

In my photo I posted, Those guys camping on the jumps are not just snowboarders doing what they do best. They are people from Burton on a photo shoot. They cleaned the park up quite a bit for the photo shoot.

Going again Sunday. Are the new features good

WTW on pricing? Online I looked and its like 35$ for 2 hours and a 6x (2hour pass sessions) pass now is 130... anyone know if its cheaper at the window or something?

Im desperate for snow but am I this desperate...

My buddy and I bought a 12 pack of 2 hour passes for however much their website said and convinced a worker to let us use that all day (dude said it’s not allowed so big risk there ig) I think for both of us it was around 70 per person

makes sense... sometimes you get a chill dude that works there and hooks it up. For me, its an hour and a half drive each way and thru NYC so to bank on 2 guaranteed hours of skiing and hoping for more might not make sense. Thanks for the heads tho yo

I skied the Dubai one. From pics above this looks about half the size. Oddly the Dubai one had maybe a better park set up then this.

I think the NJ one (ski Rutherford as I like to call it) is in a great location. Hopefully it stays profitable.

Fax it was 7hours each way from Ohio but our backup plan was to skate nyc if all else failed we just got lucky as w the guy

Jesusss I admire the commitment on the drive. Puts it in perspective a bit tbh, 1.5 hours is nothin to complain ab then. And NYC is dope, especially for skating around. Worth the trip just for that IMO.

I'm down to check it out at some point. I remember smoking in my friends roof over a decade ago looking at that place wondering if it'd ever be done. I feel like if nothing else for the novelty i gotta check it out. Also i haven't hit the east coast in a few years.

I drove 5 hours each way with my homies this past week, sooo worth it. Skied for 6 hours Saturday (we just booked 3 two-hour sessions. 10-12, 12-2 then 4-6.) It got a little hectic in there in the afternoon. They also had the little T Bar thing on most of the time. The lip for the flat bar got super poppy and de-shaped towards 6pm, and the landings/in-runs got real icy too. Super fun place though, wasn’t a bad lap with the lift. If my toe wasn’t fucked I could have lapped that park for hours.

then we went to NYC Sunday and toured around a little bit. Definitely worth the drive and the money.
