this is coming from someone not living in usa but from is witnessable these days what he is saying is pretty true about america going down the drain economically.

i mean in the past 40 years the states have gone on 2 quite important millitary conflicts (vietnam and irak) both of which have never been deemed as useful ( yes you idiots you lost in vietnam whatever you can say) I don't know what they teach you in school but the way vietnam started is after they claimed a destroyer was attacked in international waters by vietnamese they decided to declare war to vietnam. long story short the paper declaring war to that country was written 4 weeks before the incident and the attack of the destroyer was never actually confirmed by any mean. so to save you all the historical crap since world war II you have only gone on wars for your own benefit (wmds in irak please)

as america stands today your dollar is getting pretty weak, you are going into recession next year its pretty much assured, you owe trillions of dollars to foreign countries. China holds a huge part of your debt and at this very moment holds the economic power to send america in a greater depression than the one in 1929.

I do not agree in any way with what the creator of this thread said but his saying that your country is going down the drain economically is pretty much true. All great economic powers in history have fallen at some point or another (britain controled the world for centuries, germany in the 1930's , etc)

yes other factors existed for this war, but I think it was a pretty successful war that helped a lot of people.

successfully prevented an invasion, not a major accomplishment but not a travesty

vietnam was a horrible mess. between 62 and 71 america dropped  18 million gallons of poison onto vietnamese jungles to destroy food and cover for vietnamese fighters. The destructive power was not strictly awarded to the plants however. Today perhaps 3 million vietnamese suffer cancer or birth defects as a result. that political mess is still killing people.

Every day these groups grow, but until something hits home on a large enough scale, and one of these people are in a position to be heard by everyone, nothing is going to change in this society.

9/11 could have been once such event for the US. Unfortunately, they have turned it 180* around and it has totally backfired.

i dont think you make any sense...having a wife and kids, don't you think that's positive? or are you gonna stick it to the man by never loving anyone? and how about all the positive things the government does with your tax money? they pay for a lot of infrastructure that makes our quality of life higher.

if you don't like the "system", no one is keeping you in the US. move somewhere else. you aren't being forced into any system, you don't have to get a job, you don't have to live in the US. just a lot of people choose to because it will provide them with the best life they can attain. if you disagree, move to south america or europe or wherever it is that you think is better.

i mean, i hate war, i'm against torture, against world policing, and don't particularly love the government, but the whole "the system is out to get me and homogenize society" thing is a pretty immature viewpoint that doesn't take any positive things into account.

like someone said, you should be thankful for being able to have a family, in a home with a wife and kids. Because if you think of it, if you break down human life to the most basic form, we're just another creature, intelligent, but just another organic mammal on earth. Our most basic goal in life is to reproduce, to keep our species going. So being able to have the freedom to do that, create a family, is super good. Also, to be able to have a healthy family on top of that.

I guess i was kind of saying, like, you're forced into getting a job and paying taxes, then retiring and dying. I just think that's kind of lame, having to work a job full time ur whole life. Then you're all old and retired.... like you can go fishing.... lol. And being forced to pay taxes, and not have complete control over how our governments spend it.

humans are a pretty adaptable species. yeah i don't think things are that great right now, but a solution will be figured out someday. either that or their is going to be a cataclysmic event that ends it all for us.

First of all, I like the way you used this ridiculously ignorant thread to poke at the Vietnam War (which you apparently don't know much about). Honestly, how can you hold yourself on that pedestal when you say things like "yes you idiots you lost in vietnam whatever you can say". You pissed me off, I am about to make it rain:

-The country of Vietnam was taken under new leadership in the early 1950's. This new regime actually had the balls to quote the Declaration of Independence and talk about their plans for a great democracy. Obviously the Communist government that followed wasn't exactly what the said they would develop. The war was by no means a good thing, but the US had a legitimate reason to go in and try to help the people. Honestly, you are suggesting that the US started a war of their own accord for no reason. Why? What would we gain by that? War cost money, and we wouldn't spend it for no reason. It's a lot like the war in Iraq today. Some call it a "War for Oil". So if this is a war for oil how come gas cost $3 a gallon here and $.35 a gallon there?

-Then you go on to mention the dollar is weak. No shit. We are in a war. It happens. All you really showed me is that you get all your information from internet blogs because people say this kind of stuff all the time. You make yourself look ridiculous when you make it seem that China can rule the world by asking us to pay up. China doesn't like us. They would have already done that if that were true. So why haven't they? Because the US is the number 1 consumer of Chinese goods and their country would go down the shithole if we went broke.

I'm sorry, "help" people in vietnam? how exactly did the american military help the vietnamese by carpet bombing the country with napalm and incinerating any village that had the slightest connection with VC troops? how exactly did the american military help the vietnamese by gassing the country with agent orange, the effects of which are still being dealt with today. How exactly did the american military help people in laos by bombing the shit out of the country because some VC soldiers were hiding out in the boarder areas, or because they didn't feel like trying to land their planes in the bases in thailand if they didnt hit all their targets in vietnam. Durring the vietnam war, laos was the most heavily bombed country in history. More than any european country in WWII, more than vietnam. It's estimated that it'll take 100 years to clear all the UXOs in the countries. A bomb squad in Laos wont even come to a village unless over 100 bombs have been found in the vicinity of the area. Please tell me how all that has helped the vietnamese. Yes the communist government in Vietnam is a brutal government, but I can't find any justification for the majority of the things the american government felt was "neccesary" to win the war.
 
First of all, the point of the post wasn't to justify the result of the Vietnam War. I actually only pointed out that the war didn't start from some government conspiracy like the d-bag before me said. If you read it without getting all pissed off you might have pulled that out. I don't think the initial plan was to go and bomb the shit out of Loas either, but you, like the guy before you, have gone off on a tangent about Vietnam when it is pretty much not relevant to the discussion.

ok I might have started off a little idiotic by using the vietnam war as an example. but the only point I wanted to make all you dumbass americans realize is that the oh so great usa is not going to hold its power over the rest of the world for ever. are you fucking kidding me. in the history of mankind all great societies have risen and fallen. the mongolian empire control the better part of the world for centuries where are they at now. let me state one fact the united-states of america hold 1 TRILLION $ of your debt your holding on a thinass line. what you dont seem to understand is that everytime you buy something made in china some of your money goes to their country and some of their goods go to yours. It is a mutual business agreement where it is benificial for each. If china decided to stop selling stuff to the states the cost of living would go up by many hundreds of percents(sending you in a depression). china could go sell their stuff to other countries. basically everything someone in china paid 2 $ an hour to do, you would have to do it in america by whiny-ass bitches that cry because the minimum wage is around 4 times that, making that the cost of living would go up drastically. thats what I meant.

If the us didnt go to war with irak for oil than WHY did they go ?and why are they still there ? I mean common, terrorism ? thats just the enemy we invented for ourselves for this century. Our parents had the communists we have terrorists. they killed 3000 people 6 years ago on the mainland and that was it. what is a war on terror it is just a justifiable way to get in countries with oil , from my perspective, they are talking of attacking iran. now they dont even need to give a reason they just tell you ' yeah were goin to bomb another country' where is the reason now ?

our schools are failing because they're trying to be a surrogate parent. providing breakfast? healthcare? discipline? don't get me wrong, some things are necessary. but the schools need to teach. and that's it.

and this war is a hell of a lot cheaper than rebuilding cities and treating mass causalities.
