m sick of eating the corporate feast of bland existence. everywhere i go the heroes of capitalism shout at me with their tired images and exploited products. but i dont fear the greed because the great economists of the day predict the system is going to crash. americans can only live like consumption whores for so long. The honey moon is ending. When it crashes and society erupts into a warzone of confused conformists i will be there standing above the rubble to smile at the new america.

The war was supposed to kick start the economy, too bad it didnt work.

However, Republicans know that this overspending has to stop, liberals have done nothing to even address the issue.

i think it makes perfect sense. the resources are dwindling, china has us by the balls, the world hates us,  and everyone is buying on credit. its just to bad you dont see the truth. when it happens ull see.

I think there are issues with the government, but certainly not to some dooms day extreme.

more socialized, kill the electoral college, make it easier for the poor to get into college,  reduce the intacts of ads,  publicly funded campaigns, more truthgull mass media, legalize most drugs, raise wages in realtion to inflation, international laws of labor, get rid of the military, lead by example,
 
i love america enough to hate it for it has become. we cant continue to live the way we do. there is human tradegy behind almost everything we consume. im i only the only one who cares?
 
Go look at what capitlism is doing to europe. Spiraling unemployment, shitty healthcare, sure its free, but then why does everyone from europe/canada who can afford come to america for healthcare opposed to their own.

Take away private healthcare, and all the billions of dollars into pharmaceutical and disease research will be flushed down the toilet.

No I think this guys got it pretty much right acctually. Although he didn't exactly present the idea's very well, North America's society is fucked up. It may not crash horribly but life would be much better without all the materialism and what not

dude im well well aware of my priv and it kills me knowing that as i write t this people are starving and people are slaving in the economic system. i was born into a world of priv not by choice. i volunteer and try to help as much as i  can. perhaps i can use my guilt when i get the  social weapons i need to better the system. right now im nothing more than a chlld tasting the ideologies of karl marx and the budha. forgive me for not blissfully living my life with little regard to the rest of world or a shitty goverment.
 
its not your fault. Its the fault of certain countries' corrupt rulers. How can you defend karl marx when every single regime that has implemented his philosophies into government has had a horrible human rights record.

I've been to europe, asia, australia. You have no idea how good we have it here.

The biggest problem we have, is no one seems to remember Laissez Faire, but then again there weren't exactly planet destroying cobalt bombs when President Washington was around either.

Yeah, we are totally fucking up right now, we need better leadership, we need to get the soldiers home, and we need to fund sciences and research into saving resources and curing diseases, instead of our war machine.

Remember as a nation, we are very young, 231 years is a flash, Some countries are 10x our age, but we had a drive to keep up, to better the nation, to become a world super power, and once we did that, we slowed down, we went to war, we let our economy collapse. We used to be a nation of inventors, engineers, and scholars. We have fallen behind.

 
But.....we have always bounced back, better than ever. remember that, there is always decline after a peak, and always a rise at the end of the valley.

A utopia is a fictional made up place. Eutopia is the real world equivalent of perfect. A eutopia would never happen, because not everyone has the same views on a perfect place. And if everyone did think the same, pretty boring world in my opinion, without competition what is there, everyone happen with what they have, if thats how it worked, we would all still throwing spears and amused by fire, but its the lust for competition, the striding to better one another that makes us the world what it is. Thats why its called a utopia, one definition means perfect place, one means a place that won't exist. We don't need a utopia, dytopia, outopia, eutopia, we just need to focus, and set our path straight
 
Honestly your arguments are so uneducated they are driving me nuts. Go to any other country in Europe and show me where the ads aren't in your face. Go to Dubai and then once you think you have found your eutopia, drive 10 miles in any direction and you WILL find conditions much worse than anywhere in our country. Who really has the whole capitalist problem would be the UAE and Malaysia, the few rich piss money away to make stuff look nice, they build their skyscrapers tall why? because the streets are full of homeless because the rich needed a little more money. We have unemployment, welfare, social security(ehhh),we provide services to those who need it, but they have to go out and get it. You get laid off, go collect your unemployment, stay on your feet and find a new job, don't wallow around and cry about it, if people wanted job bad enough they could easily find them. The poorer areas of our country is from laziness. You drive through old towns that used to be booming, but people still live there because to them its great, and they are happy. Yes there are problems in our government, but EVERY government has its problems to deal with, we are a technologically advanced nation, more tech mean more problems. And everything you said is not just a problem here, but All over the world these problems exist. Not everything can be solved, yes this war is a little messed up and over the edge, mostly to blame on bush i guess. And now i guess you would say your some sort of radical whatever, well all political parties do is force people into herds to make them think alike. So when your done hating and fiending for them to legalize you some drugs, get off your mushroom trip and use your fucking brain and look beyond the borders of this country. This world has its fair share of problems, not just us, but everyone.
 
I think he's one of those new-fangled militant hippies. You know, like an eco-terrorist or something. Wants to put an end to violence, hunger, etc., but can't think of any better ways to do it than with machine guns and car bombs...the very things he preaches so incoherently against.
