so what your saying is that once you have a certain amount of money its ok to get robbed? lets just say that this is a valid argument.

the rich people are not the ones affected. they have jobs as lawyers, doctors, buisnessmen and so foth. the ones that are being affected are the poor who are losing jobs.

and if you steal a job that pays 200 dollars a week thats the same thing as steeling 200 dollars a week from whatever American would have had that job.

and their not only fucking Americans over their fucking people from their own country over too.

Mexico is a horrible country and its the peoples responsibility to fix it, and not just run away from their problems.

the same way that the governemt that the people of the United States made is to look out for its governments interest.

Im a Frenchcitizen, I have a permanent Resident card because my Dad is American, and the United States has such great potential, and one of the major problems in making this country as great as it could be is unemployment, and one of the big causes of unemployment is Illegal Immigration.

This might be true if the US were equal to Mexico. It is not, so none of this can really be argued. that's also why there is no problem with americans immigrating illegally to mexico.

Have you ever been to California? I don't see how you can just be fine with all these people moving into the US illegally, other than you live in NY and I doubt there are to many illegal imigrants there so you don't know the extent of the problem. BUT I COULD BE WRONG!
 
I lived in New York until August of 2005 and I knew that this problem existed but I had no idea how bad it was until I saw all the people without jobs on skid row and all the people who are PROUD to be illegal immigrants.

The attitude that alot of illegal immigrants ive met really pisses me off to a point where while im talking to them I wish that an INS van would screach to a stop right there 3 guys would jump out grab the guy and drive him straight to Mexico
 
i agree as well. i dont like the imprisonment thing just cause it will take up prison cells that should be used for the sex offenders and murders etc. but there has to be a better solution to just sending them back. i mean then they just come back again.

If the US has no responsibiliity to take care of third world countries, then why the fuck are we in Iraq? If you believe Bush, then it was to liberate the Iraqis from Saddam and give them a better life, which cost hundreds of billions of dollars, and the country is still a shit hole. COuldn't some of that money be better to help improve countries like Mexico and the immigrants in the US?
 
It also could be used to help keep immigrants out as well, could be used to bail out airlines, could be used to artificially decreasing oil prices to increase US conpsumption, ah well what can ya do

well the age old argument comes up concerning america: it was created by immigration. It is very true, and from 1600-1900, the dynamic was rather different than it is today. Immigration is cool in my books, but I'm talking legal immigration. The problem is illegal immigration.

It is not even close to fesable to send off 11+ million people back. Unfrotunately not many people realize what has been going down in terms of law. It isn't a deportation act, hell, its more of an "amnesty" (I've refraimed from saying that but whatever). What was planned was to give citizenship (i think) to those who would pay back taxes, learn english, pay fines, etc. Not such a bad compromise, but instead hundreds of thousands of people nation-wide protesting.

It is a pain in the ass to get green cards and such to stay in the country. It is often times a bit too rigid. However, that doesn't really change the fact that they are illegal.

The main problem is (at least to me) is the amount of support they receive from taxes that they themselves DO NOT pay. I'm not saying illegal immigrants take up the most money. They don't. But they do take way more than they should. Free education, medical shit, welfare and other government programs, etc. etc. It all adds up to an astronomical amount nation wide. They do not pay the taxes. Others including myself do, so we are supporting them. Not fair in my books.

But ah, they are hard workers trying to earn some money to help their starving families. GREAT. However, 29% of people in prisons are illegal immigrants, yet they make up around 4% of the population. There is a slight disproportion there. Not all are so hard working as many are led to believe.

But the ones who do work just cut wages for others because they'll work for so damn little. If I travel to Eastern Washington in the summer, I will see Mexicans picking apples. Others who need to work in such a field will have to suffer low wages because they will work for so little (usually below minimum wage). It sets a burden for those who actually follow the law, including paying taxes.

I'm not some fat ass conservative either. Shit, I've been to Mexico (not all were so grand) and countries in Africa, and the poverty is horrendous. I'm all for aid, and I think it is necessary, just at a humanitarian level, but I am not willing, nor are many others, to pay for others that come to this country and don't contribute themselves. Instead, they want spanish this and korean that. They hang mexican flags and think of gringos as evil, even though it is said gringos that usually provide them with some sustinance. School budgets get strapped, hostipals do too.

Whats the harm in paying back taxes and fines considering many horridly reep the government subsadies.

Its funny though. If any US citizen, or Canadian, or anybody went to Mexico, guess what? They do not have any rights! Whoda thunk! You have no right to assemble (like protests) no education, no voting, no health care subsadies, no welfare, nothing!

It must suck being in the US. I repeated myself a few times but whatever, it just gets annoying as shit.
 
I dont know about this whole deal either.

All i know is that as people, there is no reason to attack them. There are too many people in this thread who make them look like they really did something bad. They were drawn over here by higher wages, and they took it. Put yourselves in their shoes. If you had the chance to make ten times what you make now, you would probably take it. The employers and the government knows damn well that there has been many illegal immigrants about. In fact they know how many (11 millionish). If anything, the government has let this spiral out of control, and now its pretty fucked up to make them go back. It is especially unfair to make it a felony. They are being in the same cage as rapists, murderers and others. Thats fucked up too. There is a better way to deal with this issue, and I really think that America will also spiral out of control without 11 million working class jobs. They honestly arent taking from anyone. Its pretty fuckin easy to get a job, so t-man, i'm gonna go ahead and say that is wrong.

By the way, you cant execute them. It costs like 30,000 to legally kill someone, which comes directly from taxes. That would just backfire according to your plan.

You can state your opinions and such, and I'm sure that no one is going to change anyone elses mind, but I know plenty of mexicans. I play soccer with them. I go to school with them. They are good people. They work hard, and work legit, whether or not they are legal or not. They should have to chance to stay and become citizens. You cant blame them for what they are doing. you can try to put yourselves in their place, but as a rich white kid who can afford to ski, drive a car, and eat whenever you damn well please, you cant really do that.

Just look at them as people. Humans, not as the felons they are apparently about to be.
 
better the life of millions of americans living in poverty rather than help foreigners first. i say rid our country of domestic problems THEN help others. why should an illegal immigrant get the 200 a week and force some american in poverty out of a job when the american deserves first right to the job because THEY ARE A LEGAL CITIZEN? im sure if the us economy crashed and millions of americans overran the borders into mexico, they wouldnt be happy now would they?

the black community over the last 200 years has gone through SO MUCH SHIT, fighting for their rights, to become citizens after slavery, then fighting for equal rights and such, especially since most of their ancestors were brought here against there will. now we haev hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants who want instant gratification from problems they are causing on their own. its not like they are fighting against the white man and trying not to get shot just for being black, they are just jumpin the border, ditching taxes, getting benefits, and fucking complaining.

i'm in the same situation as t-man152. lived in new england my whole life which is why i didn't realize how big a problem this is. i moved to cali this season and it is freaking ridiculous how many mexicans there are. i have nothing against them except they are here illegally. if you do something illegal, you suffer the consequences. so with them, what they did was illegal yet they want benefits and the same rights as an american cititzen. why even have citizenship if you can get the same rights without it?

i had forgotten there was going to be a strike the other day until i came to work and no one was here. without the mexicans there were so many positions that could be filled by amereicans.

if we're going to help other countries, lets get our shit together first and help our citizens before we look anywhere else

Uh one of only 2% of illegal aliens end up wroking in the agriculutes sector, there are not really tha big a deal as they live in farms and such. the problems is not they exist, or make money. its the fact that they want driver licenses, acsess to medical services from the US but don't pay. I have a problem paying for there services out of my income, when they are not pulling a share of a burden they create
 
"Collapse" is a pretty bold word. Even with the economical issues that would occur with the loss of illegal labor, things would bounce back fairly quickly because employers aren't simply going to happily let their businesses fall completely apart. The employers would quickly start figuring out how to deal with the loss of illegal labor. Somebody would have to replace their jobs. Americans maybe?

Most don't pay taxes. Comeon man, it's common sense: if you don't have to pay taxes, why the hell would you want to?

And they work harder than we do?!? Pardon my frustration, but this has got to be one of the most ignorant things I've heard in a long time. Have you ever worked around illegal immigrants? I lived in Taos for a few yars, and now go to school in LA, and have spent a surprising amount of time around illegal immigrants. A few work hard. Most do not. The incredible lack of work is really disturbing. I almost can't comprehend it.

The Southwest isn't primarily made of Hispanic immigrants. Check your stats on that one.

I work at a snowboard shop in downtown LA and whenever I take out the trash or take boxes out in back theres a homeless person there not asking me for money, or food, he asks me two things one he asks me if he can take the trash out for me in exchange for a quarter or a dime and 2 he asks me if we are hireing. and despite me telling him no every day he still comes back and asks me before going to the next place to get rejected again and again.

he may not be too smart but hes got drive and all he would need is a job and he could clean himself up, and become part of society
 
check yourself, my cousin works sanitation 'behind a dump truck' and i might this summer too, ya know why?

4-9am (only work from 4-7ish if u get done fast) will get you about 15k and benefits in a summer around here, and then you got the whole day to dick around, so fuck off

^^No illegals need to gain skill sets to use in the real world dude. Theres not funding in anyones pocket to pay lots for simple tasks. They just destroy our economy hear, because before the immigrants got here like taping and texture was a skill that people would good money for, but the mexicans will do it for like 6 bucks and hour so it just destroys the construction economy.
 
the argument about it being hard to get into the US is bullshit. its hard to get into the US so hell, we'll just jump in there illegally. there are plenty of immigrants who have come to this country leagally, my family included. my grandfather worked his ass off for years legally. he was away from his family for years, but he believed that the US offered him a much better life for his family. he put in his time and my family moved here legally and is damn appreciative of what they have. if you really believe in america and the opportunities it has then you should be able to do what is necessary to contribute.

Im from Canada, so im an outside party but what I've noticed from all this is that there are tons of illegals in the US and no one wants them there, but for some reason they are allowed to stay, when I know a guy who went to the states worked under the table for his buddy got busted by immigration and couldnt enter the us for 5 year which seem like a fair punishment to me he shoulda had a visa, I dont understand why the mexicans are being treated the same way. And what even disgusted me amd IM not even American, was the other day on CNN mexican immigrants where allowed to protest in the streets singing the mexican national anteme and waving mexican flags, Like that is zero fuckin respect. There in the states illegaly and therefor not subject to the US constitution im pretty sure so why do they have these rights, and furthur more way the fuck are they "demeanding" rights they're in the last place to say anything, its like moving into a building then demanding rent from the landlord. And this does kinda affect us Canadians too cuz our dollar is closing fast on yours, which means our stuff is more expensive espicially with exporting taxes, and your stuff becomes cheaper so now theres gonna be a potential large loss of business (cuz who would by the same product for more money ovbiously no one) which is translated into a loss of jobs for us, thus those mexican are potentially hurting are economy too. And will987654321* your a fuckin idiot im sorry to say, its all good the illegal mexican is tryin to feed his starving family and shit, but would you want to tell the starving american with no job that he'll continue to starve becuase some guy who's not even allowed to be in the US just stole his job. Also by being on there side your also spiting in the face of all the people who fought soo hard to make living and working conditions in your country what they are too day, its good that you think your more fortunate and want to help but think about it this way, if say 20 percent of the world was gonna be in "poverty" (I used quotations cuz its a very subjective word) would you not the least amount of that percentage to be your fellow countrymen, or even maybe one of your family members.

i had the pleasure of tutoring mexican immigrant farm worker children for part of my education minor this semester. most of the kids are nice, but it is also popular between them to go around saying "yes, im an ignorant beaner. i dont like you because you are white and never gave me a chance. fuck you." that kinda pissed me the fuck off, and made it very had to help them succeed if in fact they are conciously disrespecting the same people that put clothes on their backs and food in their stomachs.
 
although i do hate illegal immigrants more than U2, american farmers did this to mexicans in the 1800's, this was why the alamo happened. american farmers went to work there, but they were required to learn spanish and pay taxes to the mexican government. after a while, the americans didnt wanna deal with that anymore, so they kicked some ass and now texas is a U.S. state
 
also Manifest destiny had a huge part in that. Before Americans got to Texas or California they already considered it part of the United States.
 
do u know why it takes about 9 years for somoene to get into this country from mexico??? it is b/c there are so many illeagl immagrants from mexico. therefore it is mexicans own fault it takes so long. if you are so concerned about them having to wait so long to eat, why not start a canned food drive at your school for them?? see everyone has opinions on the situation but no one wants to do anything about it. everyone is allowed to have thier own opinons; whether you think they are right or wrong, and it is not fair of you to call them a stupid bitch b/c you cannot come up with a way to make you point without insulting someone else.
