This is getting me fired up I can see Fischer making a comeback to the park scene if this pans out. Nightstick 97 sounds super sick. Wish I got a chance to test a pair. Will they come in a 189 or larger?

my question as well^ lookin for 190+

Skis look fucking amazing. How much will they cost in Europe and how soft ist the nose. Are they good for butters?

Pretty firm on nose. Of what I have on hand... Firm to soft... Nightstick, Prodigy 2, Bent 100, Revolt 96

[tag=213153]@JC_PEI[/tag] is not a big dude and he was buttering them without issue.

Why don’t you sponsor any real athletes?

Will these explode after 10 days?

When will you stop making race skis?

Fischer sponsored Kyle Smaine who laced a fucking Cork 7 over pyramid on pin bindings, I'd call him an athlete, RIP.

I heard rumors of an upcoming ski called the Nightranger. Is this that ski?

Yes this is that ski. Unfortunately there were some trademark issues with the name Nightranger.

Hey Rudolph. Long time, hope life is good! I wasn't at Fischer when they made the decision to axe the line, we have a relatively new team here in the US and have been pushing on this project since 2019. We made the decision to launch a new line versus keeping the old Nightstick in the line, and have been actively testing the new skis for the past two seasons.

I would not consider Fischer a "race" brand. We are a ski brand. Fischer is turning 100 years old next season, and is the only heritage brand still owned by the Fischer family. We are really one of the oldest indy brands out there. Everyone at the company is passionate about skiing, pushing the sport forward, and continue to develop new skis for the next 100+ years.

The fact that Fischer is still independently owned is mind-blowing. It's also a good reason to hope they'll recommit to freeskiing - no C-suite folks focused on maximizing portfolio value will be making the decision to axe the line, like keeps happening to parks across the US and Europe.

Oh yea I'm sure it'll be way different this time around. No way they'll pump and dump this niche of skiing again....

unfortunately for now the longest length is 184.

its okay. i still love to see a fellow NewSchooler makin fuck moves in the industry. bringing a free ski to a larger company who has been less involved in recent years is huge. big ups homie!! i see the banner ads, the contest give away, the active usage of this forum. hustlin. i hope this moves some units and that puts more backing into product and team development

Honest question, what was Fischer doing from 1938 to 1945? It is quite fascinating that they bought all of their stock back in 2002 and now are family owned too. Based on the fischer1924 website history arranged by Fischer it seems to dance around the notion that the founder was a prolific Nazi business man that profited greatly from military contracting

Yeah, same with every other German business, you fucking kook. One of Hitler's favorite vehicles was the VW Beetle.

I typed that while wearing a pair of adidas, maybe log off instead of getting triggered by people simply talking about Nazis.

Given a choice between an executive suite and a company actually focused on the sport, I'll choose the latter every time. Sorry for being hopeful; I'll do better next time.

Woot Woot! Nice Brian! ski is looking rad! Fischer's old park skis were beefy! Race ski construction technology applied to skis like this is a winning combo!

skis are moving quick gang... here is what is left:

163 - 11 remaining

170 - 5 remaining

177 - 15 remaining

184 - 0 remaining

Just got mine where should I mount them as an aggressive park skier? +2-3cm from center?

a narrower ski,

Does that mean a kids ski, or a genuine high end park ski that is "narrow", at least by todays standards? All these wide park skis are so slow edge to edge.

Surely a pair of 177s lasts till the end of the month

Glad to see something close to 100 underfoot that still has the feel of a park ski. Had the bent 100's and didn't love them, turn radius was too long, these have 18m in the 184 correct? How stiff are these compared to the bents? Also, can you confirm there is some metal underfoot and sounds like carbon stringers as well? Thanks!

Also can someone post a pic of these with their bases together? Curious how deep the rocker lines are? thanks!!!

These are nothing like bents, in a good way. Firmer and more stiff than bents + have metal underfoot.

Sounds legit, I am into it. So is the non limited edition of this ski coming this year? Or is this it for this year? I need 184s so I feel like im burnt.

You’d sell out of 191’s if you made em

We sold the last pair of 184cm last week. I believe we only have a 163cm left in all sizes.

yup you are on the right track. without giving too much away there will be a narrower ski, and a wider ski than the 97. This line will be more playful/surfy than the Ranger line, and at a slightly lower price point. The entire line will be introduced in January 24.

Could the ski Mathilde is holding from the Stubai WC podium be the "narrower" ski you referenced?
