Am I weird???????

I like to ski without music. Last season I couldn’t ski without it now I find myself not wanting to listen to music while I ski. I like to remove myself from the internet while I ski and music does not help with that. Everyone I know skis with music but I don’t. Does anyone else do this or am I just strange.

In the park i have to have music but otherwise it's sometimes pretty nice to just listen to the wind rush past your face and be one with nature. Nothing sounds better than the silence of a snowy forest

No you’re not weird. I go back and forth, some days I want to completely disconnect and just ski to escape, so I won’t listen to music. On days when I’m with the homies and we’re vibin and sending, I listen to music to hype myself up

Bro that's totally natural. Sometimes it just feels good to go out and experience skiing without hearing your toons in the background. Like others had said, I like to listen in the park but during the spring I seem to always forget to turn on my music until im standing at the top of the park... I might be weird but i love the sound of skiing across some soft-slushy snow

Nah I never listen to music. Skiing without it just feels better and silent solo chairlift rides are meditative.

I’ve always just found it to be kind of a hassle and a distraction. I love music just don’t really miss it while skiing

Same. I can't listen to music while while skiing because I get distracted and its wierd not being able to hear whats going on. Also, when I listen to music, I like it loud so talking to people isn't a thing. Music

that’s the only part i hate about no music haha. when it’s a nice day out the solo rides are welcome but on the shitty days the solo no music rides are enough to make me wanna call it a day sometimes

Nah not weird at all, I love music but never ski with headphones in. I feel like there's a natural 'rythym' to the movements I make while skiing and having a different beat going directly into my brain interferes with it, if that makes even the slightest amount of sense.

Nope

I love music and listen to it alot at work and in the car but...

I don't play music while skiing either. I've tried it and it was alright but I didn't like not being able to hear everything else around me. Skiing is my break from technology- connecting with nature and with myself.

I like to listen to music thru a speaker when im with my homies bc everyones bumping to it and u can still hear your surroundings if its not blasting. But when trying new things i turn it off....too distracting

I go back and forth, if I'm by myself and in the park yeah i need tunes and if I'm shredding groomers mach 10 i like tunes too but with other people or tree skiing or moguls i like to hear the skis and snow

If I'm by myself and want to disconnect and get away from everything, then I'll listen to my music. If I'm skiing with the homies, then i'll go without it

I shred without music even in the park. Most of the time I'm out riding with the boys so instead of music we're all just getting hyped up by our stoke for riding.

When I'm alone I have tunes, when I'm with friends I go no tunes. Current stage of my ski life I like having music most of the time.

One of those guys huh

I listen to music 99% of the time when I ski, because it helps me gather my thoughts and hypes me up. I would love to ski big mountain or pow without music, but thats not really an option where I live, so I pretty much only ski park, where I need music. Not complaining tho cause park is fun

I listen to music while skiing, but the worst part is when your in the vibe of the playlist and bopping and then your phone dies and your just sitting there in silence and singing it in your head. "ba-da-ta-ta.root-doo."
