lots may see this as a piontless thread but I just wanna know something. Am I the only one whose parents everytime I make a mistake they fucking blame it on skiing? then whenever I fuck up they take away my skis for a week? God damn, I dont fucking take ou the garbage and their like, 'if u didnt try to be so cool when ur sking maybe you would tak eout the garbage.' My mom uses skiing like a fucking slave to make me do what she wants me to do. she doesnt even understand what skiing is to me. She is allways talking about how skiing is never gonna give me an income to support a family and shit. I know Im not gonna spend the rest of my life making money off skiing its just something I have a passion for. My dad who is divorced form my mom lives in Tahoe and he understands but whatever he says it wont make a difference my mom hates the fact that I ski.

man i feel your pain, my rents use skiin and wechiles as punishment for anything, like at mid term first semiester, my grades werent great and skiing was just startin that week so they tried to pull a its skiing fault (even though it didnt start yet) and said i couldnt go till x-mas break i only had to go through 2 weekends luckily when they told me to get a job after football ended so i got one as a ski instructor LOl. But i hate when parents put tons of pressure on you like that like do good in school and want you to get a 3rd job when you already have two and they excpect A's, well i say fuck it I'm takin some time off now that im done high school and being a ski bum out west next year, you can always go to school, you can only ski aslong as your knees hold up

yep, my teachers blame it on skiing, like just look at your grades during the winter, and my neck hurt really bad last week for some very very unknown reason...i was brushin my teeth and i strainted a muscle in my neck..beyond me...but my mom said, oh must be from one of those skiing falls. and dont expect me to hand feed you when skiing jumps put you in a vegetable or a wheelchair.

I just read the first couple of lines man, but that did it for me. It may be skiing for you, but parents blame your mistakes or school grades or anything like that on SOMETHING that they have a problem with. For me, it was 'spending too much time play that video game' or something. Truth be told, it was really all the skiing ;)

i blame everything on ADD, my football coaches use to get so pissed off at me, we would be lining up, and i would see something and completely concentrate on it so the play would start and i would just be standing there. Its great, but my parents go crazy and steal the monitor from the computer, so i go up stairs and get our old one. its pretty funny.

If you screw up , parents are going to take away what you like most so you don't do it again. Learn that maybe taking n hours to study or something will get you your skiing time, it better to study then skki than to do neither

never ever happened to me, both my parents are pretty hardcore skiers, and combined years of skiing for the 4 of us in our family is about 100-115 years, so its pretty much gotten to be in our blood. if we dont ski, we cant concentrate on things that well in school or work
