Am I the only one who doesnt like Eminem?

so, rather than rapping about his life, you'd prefer listening to rappers talk about fucking bitches at the club, and nothing else? Because thats what the rest of it is. That and rhyming 2 words that are completely different, but just pronouncing it weird so it makes sense.

i'm no huge fan of eminem either or rap at all, but i feel like he at least raps about something he believes in.

So crack a bottle, let your body waddle

Don't act like a snobby model you just hit the lotto

O-oh o-oh, bitches hopping in my Tahoe

Got one riding shotgun and no not one of em got clothes

Now where's the rubbers? Whose got the rubbers?

I notice there's so many of em

And there's really not that many of us.

Ladies love us and my posse's kicking up dust.

It's on till the break of dawn

And we're starting this party from dusk

I realize that he's good lyrically, but I can't stand his vibe in any of his songs. There are so many underground-ish rappers that can match his lyrics AND have a cool vibe while doing it

no, but his story is the same in each song, awful childhood, hallie, etc. I do like some of his older stuff, but I can't stand the newer songs. The story has gotten old, and all of it is tailored to this modern crap mainstream stuff.

slim shady lp was pretty good, but hes gone downhill. its not BAD music, but overplayed/by the wrong people.

tbh i really enjoy most of asher roths stuff, other than his radio-played shit. not as a serious rapper but just as fun music.

Funny thing is over half you who posted in here hate him, yet he is and will continue to be considered one of the greatest rappers.

Recovery reallly shocked me at how good it was.

Instead of every song just being straight up rapping, there are tracks like Space Bound (one of my favorites), Going Through Changes, 25 to Life, and Love the Way You Lie (although quickly becoming played) that have slower, more "musical" segments to the songs, and they flow.

Also, he raps about things that matter to most of us, and things that most of us can relate to instead of money cars and bitchez. While I do realize that there are other rappers who rap about other stuff as well, Eminem just happens to appeal to the masses, and that's a sign of a talented artist.

I should probably post screenshots of our arguement on facebook. again with 13 year old girls that my neighbor is friends with.

And their arguement about f. stokes is that he cant be good because they've never heard of him (for those of you that dont know, the windells session 4 edit had one of his songs in it)

I know I've posted this before but its so fucking good

How? I'm pretty sure you would have to be gay or a huge lil wayne fan to not like hang on. Belssings just has really meaningful lyrics.

He has good lyrics, but the "musical" aspect of his song is, in my opinion, lacking.

Idk it's just not much my taste I suppose.

Haha really? I'm not sure if I've ever actually sat down and listened to him. Not much of a fan of anything that will ever show up on the first page of itunes

you are obviously mentally ill. all eminem talks about is negitive shit, he raps to fast, he white trying to be black, thats not good. you should turn off recovery for an hour and listen to wu tang clan for an hour track by track.

skip airplanes, beautiful girls, and the one joint with weezer on it. the rest of his stuff is quite creative

If somebody can find that nickalodeon remix of that eminem song that they changed to stuff about meat I will love you forever and give you teh all important interwebz points.

people have always liked to act like they dont like eminem, and although some dont i think a lot of people just jump on the hate train. i dont really like him that much but i really really respect him as an artist.
lyrically, there is no denying his talent. he keeps up incredible lyrical complexity in commercial, radio friendly songs, and thats something few other rappers can do. theres almost no other artists who have been as successful as him that are lyrically comparable, especially nowadays.
so if you find his beats too poppy or you dont like the mood of his music, whatever everyone has different tastes. but dont say hes garbage, because he does exactly what he sets out to do: keep his songs personal, keep his lyrics impressive, and still sell records.
(and to the dudes comparing wu tang and eminem just dont. their soo completely different its not even fair. their the same caliber lyrically, but the beats and and the mood of the songs just appeal to two completely different audiences.)

I liked him awhile ago. His older stuff was pretty decend. But is it me or does he yell the end of every word? hes all "ahhhhhhhAHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHHJSWYHFKJDTRYDSFKLSAYJKDTSUOAE{BJTY ATUORAJHOFADO{RJYUAKD{RJYOTJHO{ERTJAUO{SFYKUJ"

Somewhere along the line eminem started rapping like a weird mexican (no hate to mexicans). He used to be good, but over time he just lost it.

if you compare this...

or this...

Its like he's yelling at me or something, whatever it is its just shitty now. He should probably just sit on his pile of cash and give it up.

Why are people talking about Recovery like it's actually good. Recovery, Relapse and Encore were pretty fucking terrible. He lost his talent, now both LPs and The Eminem Show were amazing.

I don't mind his lyrics as much as the fact that he always sounds so damn pissed and angry when he raps.. pretty much all of his songs entail him get angrier and angrier until the end,

That F. Stokes song was pretty good. I always hear the same stuff. "Weezy and Eminem are the best because thy are the most popular." People have such flawed logics.

FUCK HIM! his rap sucks! i dont like his flow nor voice.... no hate that hes white...brother ali anyone?
