so i was thinking about buying a sony hdr-hc3 high definition camcorder, and a new imac (g5 or g6). i plan to edit a lot with adobe premier and make edits/movies. when i want to, can i put my freshly new movies on dvds? does the imac have some sort of dvd burner?

thanks

wow man your going all out i wish i had the money to do that but yes the iMac G5 and the iMac Intel (or what you called the G6) can have a dvd burner in them. Its called the Superdrive. It can burn up to 16x i think now but i'm not sure. But yea it should look pretty good on the TV but there will be better picture quality on the iMac screen

yea iDVD is the best and easiest to use since that you can transfer right from iMovie or Final Cut but Toast Titanium also works just as well if you have it. Also the new Toast Titanium supports HD DVD's and Blue-Ray discs

you export from adobe premiere, then put it into idvd or another program and burn it. so yes. and it sounds like you're going all out to begin with? maybe take a few more steps in between...just a suggestion though.

they have adobe premier CS3 for mac...

but to the creator of this thread you won't be able to use it if you bought the windows version....
