Am I in any danger?

I was just helping my dad replace the brake fluid in his truck and he forgot to replace the lid to the funnel like thing into the master cylinder so when i stepped on the petal to pump the fliud out, it sprayed all over the running engine and started to burn. you could faintly see what looked like steam so I shut down the engine and got out and i could smell it. i was breathing it in for about 5 mins so im asking anyone who has experiance, am i in any danger and would this "steam" from the burning brake fluid be poisonious in any way? im just curious because it was quite smelly and i know that most vehicle related liquid/gasses are pretty bad for you. i could have been smelling the truck exhaust tho cuz the smell stronger toward the back of the truck.
thanks-KD
short version: i spilled brakefluid on a hot engine and it started to burn/evaporate. it was smelly. i was breathing this for about 5 mins. is this dangerous?

8 year old gas started pouring out of my car the other day. it burned like hell and smelled like the worse thing ever. If im still alive you will be too

then chug some antifreeze immediately after the brake fluid, it will keep you from having a headache later

brake fluid has some kick to it....

Dont mean to be a dick, and it is a bit late BUT, read the brake fluid bottle. I mean if it says NOT to digest it or extreme caution, maybe ask the doc. But I dont think you could swallow enough steam to do any harm. I didnt read the other cmmts btw, hope I didnt repeat

if there is a symbol like this on the bottle

breathed in smoking bleach after a burnout at waterfest this year. was breathing it in for about 10 min. im still here.

Well obviously it's not healthy for you. Brake fluid is acidic, and really not great for a human. If I were you, I wouldn't even worry about it.

happened to me once. all that happened was i puked on the side of the road and then i was good
