Am i a bitch for riding 157 when im 5' 10"

if you just go mess around and have fun skiing and dont brag that to can spin faster then other people. then your not

what kind of skier are you, how good are you, how much do you weigh, what do you like to ski?

i am 5'11'' and 180 lbs and ride 181 AR7s for park and 185 JJs for pow
 
ski length is about whats right for you depending on your body and skiing ability. 157 is probably a little short for you.
 
size doesnt matter as long as you dont brag about being able to do a 7 on a tiny jump..i would go with bigger skis tho haha
 
I honestly just started skiing this year i used to snowboard but i can frontflip and kinda to handrails and small urbans so im an ok skier

I lost my skis so now I use my vintage '05 161 Salomon Ten-Eightys which used to be my backup/rock/indoor/urban skis. I'm 5' 9" (I think)

These things are fucking indestructible, crazy playful and softer then freshly cooked chow mein noodles.

I didn't lost them myself actually, the only time I ever flew Easyjet they managed to lose my skis for me.

If it was RyanAir they would charge extra for that lack of service.
 
5' 8" n ride 162's. And love them. I almost feel like 157's would be too small for me. So to answer your question, yes, you're bitching.
 
I just can't imagine that being any fun at all. So squirrelly and you top out at like 20 miles an hour. Plus you look like a newb with your tiny skis. Whatever though let the haters hate if you are having fun.
 
I'm about a half-inch taller than you, and I ride 182 Armada Halos.

Optimal size will depend on several things, one of them being ski shape (the skis I'm on ski way shorter than they are due to their shape).. but I'd say no matter what those skis are too short.

But, if you're going out and having a fun time, and aren't having problems with your skis.. who am I to tell you that you shouldn't ski that short? Skiing is skiing. You're not a bitch, but I think you'd enjoy having a longer pair of skis.

 
Depends, How much do you weigh?

Generally even if you ski shorter skis the transition to longer ones probably won't be much of an issue, I went from 150's to 164's and after a day or two it felt the same to me either way.
 
No matter what, weight and skills, u should be on longer skis. Im 5'9" and i ski 176 which i think is the perfect length for park and freeskiing.
 
went from 154 double sixes to 171 chronics and i'm 5'6. never riding anything shorter. it's a way more fun and easier in general imo
 
How the fuck can you even function outside the park with 150's? That size is practically a kid's ski.
