drink alot of water and sorry to say but no liquor or cafineen. also take it slower, its probably your fisrt day and you need to take time to achlimate(sp?)

If The women don't find you handsome... atleast they will find you handy

WATER, WATER and more WATER. take it a little slower than usual ur first day or two. watch out for salty foods and don't drink alcohol. with the water thing, u really need to continuously drink until u get used to the altitude. on a side note, make sure u put on some sunscreen!

Everybody gets one chance to do something great. Most people never take the chance, either because they're too scared, or they don't recognize it when it spits on their shoes.

WEED, WEED, and more WEED slow at first but then get up to a bowl per chairlift. you will get really high at high altitude and it helps the headache. especially if your skiing. youll be so baked and having so much fun first run youl forget all about any altitude but your own

Sounds like AMS. What altitude are you at and what altitude do you live at?

Take it easy! Don't exert yourself.

Hydrate (your urine should be clear)

Vitamin C suppliment (like emergen-c)

Eat balanced but lower protien meals (pasta)

You can get O2.

Some people take aspirin... I don't know that it helps that much.

You can see a doctor about a Diamox Rx.

Don't drink alchohol or coffee, smoke, or do drugs while you have AMS.

If you start to: experience a severe headache, have trouble thinking (getting goofy), have trouble walking (coordination), develop a cough, tightness in the chest, wheezing, or any other trouble breathing, see a doctor.

It is what I would do if it were me. It is not me and neither are you.

How high do you have to go before altitude sickness kicks in? Im gonna be goibng from 300m to winter park, 8000ft or so. Its gonna be interesting.

In tractor pulls, a 'full pull' is the best you can get. Ahh, how sport mirrors life.

^well i went from about 0 to 8,000 in CO, and got altiude sickness so bad. you have to drink lots of water (should be pissing once an hour) and the first day you get there just take it easy

Save Sugar Loaf! It's our resort, not just real estate.

I have lived in Colorado all my life and when I has 14 went to Breck and got high altitude pulmonary edema (HAPE)...don't get that, your lungs fill with water and if you fall asleep you drowned. Everytime I layed down I would get water chocking me and then would throw up. DRINK WATER.
