Alternatives to little snitch?? (mac question)

I googled it and all that came up was GlowWorm Lite, it messed up my computer and I had to reinstall OS X. Google didn't turn up else, so i was wondering if anyone knows of anything else that works similar to Little snitch.
I can't really justify spending $30 on it. I got a pirated version of Microsoft office, does anyone know if it will notify Microsoft that it is a pirated version, or will i be fine even if i don't have a little snitch like application?

ya in case you're still wondering, little snitch has a trial version + serial loophole, simple enough to solve

btw if you wanna make getting pirated things easier, get a serial catalogue program like KCNscrew, serialbox, serial seeker, etc.

incase you dont' already have one hah
