alternative to the tramp

Instead of using a tramp, I like using a rope swing, cause it's more like a real jump. Of course the one I use is absolutely HUGE(You can get 2-4 seconds of air depending on how high you start up.) I learned double backs and flatspin 7s this summer and I can't wait to try them on snow. I did them so often, that I could throw them whenever I wanted to without even thinking. Anyone else use a rope swing?

cant u use the rope to start your spin tho? just wondering cause ive never tried ne thing on a rope swing

I would have to say that the best thing that i have found for off season training is a diving board. It's great for repetiton and it also throughs you up and out, like a real jump does. The rope swing sounds cool...but how do you wind up for say a d-spin or something?

yeah I was doing the ropeswing shit this summer. I learned how to dive off it, and I can't wait to try that on the hill

I was born on planet earth

a rotating ball where man comes first. it's been around, for a long long time

now it's time to watch it die.

Where wakeboard(very good cross-training) theres a huge ropeswing on the lake. Never done anything really special on it but you get tons of air off of it.

also do you land in water on on the ground? It wouldhurt like abitch to land on a flat piece of ground after 4 seconds of hand time

For Ds91260, it's easy to start to start your spin on a rope. All you have to do is sort of wind up and let go of the rope and then turn your head the way you want to spin. For Summit_punk, just wind up like your spinning on axis, but drop your shoulder just a bit and throw your right arm over your head.(I spin left) The harder you do these things the more off axis you will be. Dont forget to keep looking over your shoulder though. For Freeskier0511, of course I land in water. I wouldn't be posting this message now. It's like falling off a 2 story building or higher.

umm, since when do you need to pop up and out like a diving board on a snow jump? You are already traveling at a certain speed, but you are really doing the trick straight up and down, so i'd have to say that a tramp is the best method of practice beside a full fledge water ramp.

rope swings sound ok...diving boards are pretty good...water ramps are the shit

the diving board i practice on is 1 meter...its not very realistic to skiing though...put it this way i can do misty 1080's and triple frontflips. i guess its good for grabs though.
