Looking for a better editing software for free and was wondering what the best options were. don't wanna spend money but will if necessary

davinchi resolve is free, FCPX is $200 with a student discount and they dont actually verify if you're a student, and then theres always thepiratebay...
personally I prefer and use Premiere Pro but I'm still bitter that they switched to subscription and took away the ability to buy it outright. I love Photoshop, PP and AE but fuck you Adobe

I've had good experiences editing in hitfilm 4 express, then coloring in davinci resolve. Don't know if your interested in it but windows movie maker (also free) has a pretty decent image stabilizer in it.

I'm a huge fan of Premiere cause it has tons of some really powerful tools in it. I get a student discount for the entire adobe creative cloud pack with Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere, After Effects, etc. for like $18/ month and you don't even need to use a student email.
