Alta

you fool there is no park. if you want to go to the closest park, then you have to go to Big Emma in snowbird. Anyways, you shouldn't be doing park when you are out west, you should be finding powder in hidden spots. fool.

i think they officially announced this year that they would no longer have parks simply because there is no reason. the terrain is too sweet to bother having a terrain park. but you should go there because they already have like 450 inches of snow on the year.

you know how i know ur gay? u asked about a park at alta. Oh yeah to anyone in alaska how r the parks there?

props to big mtn skiing!!! however you shall do a few lines in the park at the end of a bluebird powder day!!

Alaska has such a sick park right now, specifically Haines, there's like this 500 ft step down, but you have to be on osama pro's to hit it. But if you want to find the park at Alta just ask the locals, they'll be more than happy to point you in the right direction.

Some people in here are talking out of there asses.

If it hasn't snowed in Alta in the past 120 minutes, you are skiing moguls. Yeah there's a shitload of snow, and the place is one big playground when it's snowing, and I've had some of the best days of my season there so far.... but there's also a shitload of people in this tiny resort turning fresh snow into moguls fast. So on the Xth consecutive sunny day, it might be interesting to look into park...

You can traverse from the Wildcat lift through the keyhole into Snowbird all the way to their park... They're not building proper kickers this year, so you get a shitty pipe, and some mediocre rails/boxes..

I'd either catch a ride to Brighton or Park City. Park City is epic. You could also hike into Brighton, kind of a mission, but it's possible.

Oh, and in Alta...

- skis with waist < 100 mm

- poles

- non-rockered skis

are frowned upon....

Everything that gets bumped out is off the Hight T. there is a lot more skiing to be had you just gotta know where to go

"non-rockered skis

are frowned upon"

where does this statement come from. if im not mistaken they are commonly called cheater sticks at Alta.

Theres plenty of people at alta who rip with older skinner skis.

It's called a joke. lighten up.

don't fool people, everything gets mogulled out at Alta, unless you hike the backcountry..

shut the hell up i didnt know they didnt have a park so back the fuck off and some people in this thread r saying they do

you can still find fresh pow in certain areas a few days after a storm although the majority of the skiing is bumps and crud, but still fun as hell.
