If you ski alta we need as many people as possible to email alta and tell them that they should put u a park because like last season the might only set up 2 boxes and 2 rails

even though alta isnt know for park i have a season pass there and on those few days when im not skiing pow there isnt that much to do except groomers and build so i want to ski park with my season and i nedd help getting alta to put a decent one up

hahahaha...did you just say snowbird had a decent park?

not this year, they are doing away with it except for a few small features next to there pipe

and alta is not known for a park, so go find some tree jibs or bonks or something..just get creative.

I thought the park was being removed... like the Baby Thunder park or whatever it's called.

And, Alta isn't really supposed to be a park resort. You say you wanna ski park this season... why not buy a PC pass?

alta is skiers dream common lets be creative parkcity has a sick park so here's a suggestion ou said few days that u weren't riding pow so go buy a day ticket at pc or brighton

ok guys

does it snow in alta everyday? no(close)

its not pow day everyday and even when it is it gets skied out

by crazy powder hounds before you knew there was fresh snow

alta has a couple of rails and boxs they just need

some support to get them put up

In the brochure they sent out it said they were sticking to there super pipe and small jibs and small jumps next to it

and hand digging a pipe would suck balls.

i think so too, i'm not even sure if its gonna happen, but thats what our friendly folks at salty peaks were talking about

seeing as the future is taking the park shit into the backcountry, what do you care if there is a park at alta. just build something and get creative.

yeah i guess i dont need one but i want one and if a have a season i wont have to spend any money on the day passes anywhere

that's why i'm gettin a pass to alta and to park city. sucks at the beginning of the season when you have to pay for it, but will be well worth it when you can ski whatever kind of terrain you feel like.

i  imagine they will but the jibs up and that's really all you need. there is fun bonus hits everywhere, makes park riding feel quite dull in comparison.  snowbird's park is a shitshow. hit up the traverse gaps, so fun.

its not like we are asking for a park

but they have jibs and rails and they just sit there

when there was jibs up we would lap some natural hits to get to the jibs then do it all over

why would we pay 70 bucks to go to pc when we dont have to

To get a park, Alta needs to allow snowboarding. What is up with that, these holdouts like MRG, Taos, Deer Valley, and Alta?

Anything that helps me keep my sanity on the traverses is fine with me.

Plus there's always the bird to rip around with your snowboarder friends.

I think next to base-lodge conditions, and shuttle parking, a terrain park would be what I care about least as a skier of Alta.

i love all these people who dont ride alta everyday or almost everyday talking like they have any clue what its like in LCC on a day to day basis. "oh you odnt need a park, blah blah blah" i think its clear to anyone who rides at least 3-4 times a week that a park would be a nice addition.

Without snowboarding, Alta has no incentive to create a park. it would be a waste of their money and resources.

There are not enough customers who would use it to make it worthwhile for them financially.

Good, I agree completely. But, I don't think all the petitioning in the world will open up Alta to snowboarding. But this argument is so played out, wasn't this an issue in the mid-90's? And somehow, I don't think allowing snowboarding 'ruined' anyone's experience in the long run.

well like 2 years ago they had decent park like to 25ft tables a spine and a down flat down rail flat down box a dance floor box 10 ft box c box a 10 ft flat rail and a 10ft shotgun rail and a ok stall

it was enough for me
