i guess they changed their mind, they wont open thursday instead they are going to open in the next two weeks or so. Everyone email them and let them know how much t hey suck
 
what a fag, but yeah if they are letting ski school take runs why wont they open up a groomer or two for everyone else. bitches
 
if they opened you all would bitch cause you hit rocks with your skis, so now you whine cause they aren't opening yet.

says who? I have been up there the past 2 days hiking and havent complained about rocks. If you cant see a rock you deserve to hit it.
 
The snow was real good there today, but there just isn't enough of a base for thousands of people to ski. They're making the right decision. They'd really be bitches if they opened a few runs just so they could take people's money. They'd also probably close the rest of the mountain to uphill traffic if they opened, and that would suck. You've got this ass-backwards. Alta actually has standards, they're not going to open their mountain when there's shit for a base.
 
I dont have an at setup so I dont care if its closed to uphill traffic. I already bought a season pass months ago, so not opening and letting me ski a groomer is actually taking my money. And uhh there is plenty of snow up there.
 
I see what you're saying, but honestly, what's the point of them opening a couple groomers? I think they could open sunnyside, that's it. I don't even think they could keep a decent groomer going from top to bottom of Collins. They're blowing snow on sunnyside and corkscrew, but don't have guns on the upper groomers off collins. And it's going to be sunny and warm for the next week. It can't happen. Blame the weather, not the people at Alta.
 
just shut up about the weather and when the resorts are opening up, don't fuck up the new weather pattern that moved in.

I thought we all agreed not to talk about snow until there was enough to ski and run the lifts.
 
didnt the news say that alta was opening tomorrow? i dont know for sure, i was told thats what was said though. alta and brighton. The bird on saturday

^yeah really. playing with my resort dates, is like playing with my emotions. the alta lady i talked to said they are still undecided until another fat storm hits. this was yesterday too.
 
They aren't going to open until they get more snow would be my guess. Might not be until December with the current forecast...
 
Head of ski school said that Friday would be opening day, and yeah laps on Wildcat while everyone was hiking was fun.
