I wanna go there for spring break. Anyone know what conditions are usually like mid-march?? Is it just luck if you catch the el dumpo of powder and get face shots all day or is nice deep powder the norm?

from what I remeber last march was real deep but it all kinda blends in together I remeber quite a few march dumps but you can goto www.alta.com and check snowfall history and it will tell you average for march and thats about as good as your gonna get for info.

well actualy last year was the worst march ever. it was around 60 degreez every day. the snow melted so fast that it evaporated before it could melt! that isn't normal however. it is normaly perfect!

How does H20 go from a solid to gas state without first moving into a liquid state?? ... Woah man, if you have figured that out maybe you should get a noble prize in chemistry for the INCREDIBLE IMPOSSIBLE PHASE TRANSITION!! you are so smart.

haha... dummy.

March definately has some great ski days in it. While everybody is in the valley thinking the season is over cause its rainig in the valley you can have the mountain all to yourself. Some of my best ski days have come in march.

well, i am just repeating what meteoriologists said last year about the snow melt. the snowpack was very deep last year, and should have filled resivours much more than they did, but as the weather people said, it was so hot that the snow never really made it to the lakes. the snow melted so fast and was so wet that it was able to evaporate as fast as it melted. so in turn we didn't have as much water in the lakes as should have been for the amount of melt that occured. again i am just repeating what meterologists said.
