Alta question

I will be out in Utah for the next couple weeks and I will hopefully hitting up Alta for most of the time. I have never been to Alta so I was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations as to good places to check out. I could be totally off base but I would love to hit some chair acessible cliffs, but I wouldn't mind hiking or paying for a cat ride. Any info would help. Thanks!
 
The whole mountain has dope ass terrain. if there is fresh snow, you wont be bored.
 
^haha yeah I know that much...and I dont expect to get bored. I was just wondering if anyone had any particular reccomendations.
 
if it snows session the wildcat life. It's the small double to the right of the collins lift. You can get fresh snow all day there plus the lines are really fun. There's good cliffs and natural jumps there. I was there last feb. and that was definetly my favorite palce to ski
 
The whole flippin' mountain is a playground, and the 18-24" coming tomorrow and tomorrow night should make Friday oh so nice! :-)

thanks for all the reccomendations...anything else? I was at vail this past week so I am pretty stoked on cliffs right now so thats what i am looking for as of now.

i dont know if this has been said cuz i didnt read the whole thread but you should hit up Wolverine Cirque, its kinda between Alta and Brighton and its way dope terrain, but the AVY danger is quite high right now so...

WTF is diving board?!!!? How long have you been riding Alta? And, bob_dole has certainly been skiing Alta for a little more than a month. Not everyone on NS is just a jibber.
 
I will hopefully be here until Tuesday. Good to hear the beer bottle collection is doing well. Alta was so sick today. It's supposed to snow more yay. I may need a place to crash Monday. My phone is sort of dead, but I'll try to call you on Monday, or you can try to call me. Yay skiing!!
 
tricks, this is the deal. im flying outta tampa tomorow around 3ish then with the time difference ill be in slc at around 8 or so. hit me up with whatever means you have and you can definately have a place to crash as well as a ride up to alta the next day. and oh yeah, youll have a legit copy of catchy title then too! looking forward to it eh!
 
id say its a fair presumption that our house is a whole lot better than yours. although i am impressed with your "recylable only" tags you recently put on your kitchen trash heaps. faygit.

Yes, he has indeed been riding alta more than a month. Why is it such a big deal? he knows it pretty well. Maybe some people have different names for the same thing. I was a mammoth local before I moved to Utah, i understand the elite local feel, but it's not a big deal that someone calls something a different name than you.
 
didnt some cat die in the hot tub down at the alta lodge one time? i heard a nasty ass story about that. but eeehh, im back in town aka...im going and hitting up alta in a few. id rather not get one the badside of anyone because of this thread so if you sees me up there (blue analog pants, brown dc jacket and black anon goggles) speak up, well hit up a pitcher or a doobie...either one that i have access to at the time.
