Effective midnight tonight alta will be closed to uphill traffic. Based on the major storm forecasted and increased avalanche danger. Effective Midnight tonight (Oct.26) through the duration of the storm. Check the site to see when they will re-open, sorry for the inconvenience.

Guys there is a whole mountain range you realize this?? There are plenty of places to ski besides alta....

i just got back from someplace up by kamus called like wolf creek campground

my bro pulled me out on the sled i went wayy oue it was hela rad i got like a 45 min run in 4-5 feet of pow it was amazing

I went hiking across the street from alta today and tried to build a kicker the snow was super wet, slow and heavy. It looks like a lot is gonna melt if this weather keeps up but ohh well it's only October.
