Unpopular opinion, but I totally dig Liz.

The more I think about it, the sheer chaos and zero fucks of her hyperfemanine attitude towards life are... incredible. She's truly ahead of her time.

People see her pulling wild shit, trouncing down cotton candy lane all like, "Yeah! I can do anything!" And it just makes them piss all over themselves.

Meanwhile, she's out there swimming in child-like wonderment, goofing around making little mini ice cream cones in a ruroc helmet - harnessing chaotic girl power positivity to strangle her reality into a place where it's her world and the rest of us are all just living in it.

Liz is a bulldozer against the "testosterone fueled cool guy" identity of winter sports, and I LOVE IT.

Fuck your masculinity, fuck your whining, fuck your society, and fuck your Olympics.

You want something out of life? Put on a silly outfit and a shit eating grin and go get it.

Obstacles and critics don't exist to Liz, and she's having fun jubilently doing whatever the fuck she wants.

I saw my first ruroc in the wild at eagle wind at winter park a week or two ago. Best part is dude was rocking shifts and the little toe piece things at the front were popped up in tour mode. Ultimate one two punch.

There is not a single doubt in my mind that Ruroc will stand the test of time, hanging in Louvre, and be studied in schools for centuries to come. Callling Ruroc a helmet company is an insult to it, as Ruroc is an ETERNAL, IMMORTAL PIECE OF ART. I was actually in doubt for a long time if I should even leave a review on “Newschoolers”, as this is a general purpose “freeskiing” website. Ruroc is the Printing Press of the 21st century. In other words, KINO beyond human understanding.

Being a good skier doesn’t automatically make you marketable. Also, sponsorship isn’t a prize for attaining a specific skill level. It’s a business partnership. So that’s why someone like Bella wouldn’t be chosen over Liz Swaney who has a much larger audience and slapping that Olympian title on things is valuable even if people don’t know the name/background of the athlete.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm 99% certain nobody besides the Olympics can advertise using Olympics branding due to their trade mark.

Lari and Mingg are right, everyone cashes in on the Olympic name. Here at Mt. Hood we have Skibowl's Olympic Ski and Snowboard School named after a guy that was a Czech speed skier in the 1992 games. It has huge marketing appeal

Bella Bacon and Liz Swaney are completely different athletes. They can't be lumped into a generic "women's skiing" category.

Bella is a steeze queen, greasing rails in the driver's seat and straight thug turning down.

Liz is a hungry for life expression of joyful can-do attitude, and a hell of a well-rounded athlete.

Both are dope.

They express very different things in their skiing.

Before I get into this I'm gonna say I have no hate for Liz Swaney, she's doing her thing without hurting anyone and that's fine.

But she is an embarrassment to skiing. She gamed the system to get into the olympics as a garbage skiier and reps ruroc helmets while doing yoga poses in front of architecture.
