Alpines park closing

Yep, its closing pretty soon, this might be the last weekend (4/25).

From Alpines website:

'We'll put some rails where they can be accessed. The park is coming down because we need to use that snow to keep the base of Summit covered. We will be hitting dirt in the superpipe, so it's done too.'

I was there today, they had two good sized hits up, and two good rails. Pond skim is tomorrow, then i'm thinking that's it. THey've pretty much canibalized all the other jumps to keep the ones they have up.

'In my country, first you get the sugar...Then you get the power...Then you get the women.' (Homer Simpson)

'I'm in his nigger crew' (my little brother in response to my statement that he was in my 'digger crew')

'My knee hurts' (Jeff Merat after grinding a lunch table for an hour instead of sitting in the ski patrol shack for his torm mcl and acl which he got earlier that day.)

'I'm not asking for any help, just mabe for you to get off your ass.'(my dad)

i was there for the pond skimming, some funny shit, sad day though, treats closed forever, and the park/ pipe is now closed or teh season, even roundhouse is done, summit is the only lift open... how sad

~welcome to squawllywood~

why would they close the park? they could just make a couple small jumps and set of a rail line of like 10 rails. that would be sick off summit

well my Sierra already closed...but hey just do wat Im doing and go to Squaw, they have a sick park and its open till may 30th
