anybody been there this season? and know what's set up in their "park"? got a hook up on tixs but wonder if i should cash it in now

I was there late december and i thought the park was pretty sick, they have the sickest double handrail staricase thing, its made out of snow but then there are two single barrel metal rails on each side sooo sick perfect angles and everything, the park flow went

Flat Down rail or picnic table

Staircase Feature or Parking Barrel Bonk

then the park splits up into 2 different runs

skiers right there are small rails/boxes kinda shitty

skiers left was flat rail

flat rail

then a log jib or this boat that has been turned upside down (you can slide the top)

then a big kicker with lots of pop maybe like 35 ft? Its kind of hard to get speed for but if you hike up to the hill on skiers left before the inrun you should be good

this is assuming that they havent changed anything but i doubt that they havent, when I was there there were also rumors of a wallride and 2 cboxes that werent put up yet, so they might have those up

uh times have changed...

i was there last wednesday and the aforementioned handrails were unhittable due to lack of lip. that was actually a recurring theme. there was literally a rainbow rail sitting in the middle of the park with no lip or landing, i guess just for show. jumps were shitty to nonexistent. hopefully theyve stepped it up in the past week - id just call them and see.

i went and watched my friends do their wjr race and skied in the park the whole day.

to tell you the truth, if this park was a little more maintained, it would be sick as fuck..

on the terrian park to the skiers left it goes like this:

long gap to flat box

cbox set up

up flat up (super fun)

long flat down

trap rail

straight box (set up straight in the air like a wall ride)

Skiers middle:

rainbow rail

staircase with two rail options (street/urban style)

3 jump line

Skiers right:

didnt go over there so pretty small stuff tho.

but yea overall if they would maintain the park a little better and just clean up some take offs and landings and such this park would be sick as hell.

it was the WJR race on saturday morning.

I race for marquette high school but i didnt race on saturday i just hung out with friends who did race. i was in my green jacket and 4frnts.

i almost nutted myself on that up flat up.....i wish they had bigger jumps because i could barely get enough air to do sw 3's and i am trying to learn sw 5's

went there tonight...whole park is being rebuilt for tomorrow..its gonna be legit as fuck ill be there all day filming

i think i saw you. were you in your jeans? and had the camera?

but yea, it was alright. as i said before it would be an awesome park if they maintained it but yea.

i pulled some muscle in my back 270ing off the straight box. im screwed for the next week at least. =[

dude you would prolly have some fun. i mean i wouldent just come down here to ski there, but if your down here and have the chance i would go for it. if you get a good day you might just get a decently maintained park. not to mention tons of rails

eh its fine. it healed pretty quickly, ill be back out this weekend.

haha yes the rails are pretty much endless at alpine. didnt they have a boat? lmao

i was gonna go tomorrow night and maybe pool andy up but i decided to not go up and save my legs for saturday. its gonna be a longgggg day of skiing.

Disappointing. One more hill not building a decent jump fearing the precedent set by lawsuits. The rail line/family bunny hill was gaperlicious.

im goin there wed so hopefully it ill be sick, i found out not to go on the weekend there, millions of crusties there

^ i would struggle to call it decent, they probably won't be adding anymore since they close the 16th. setup if ya care...

rail line:

down box, c-box, dfd box, rainbowflat box, couple flat rails, up box

other line:

rainbow with no lip, 3 jumps that went maybe 10', 10', 15'

the last couple years i liked going there near the end of the season for 1/2 price tickets, river skippin and a decent jump line off the lodge chair. this year not so much

rail line sounds sick but damn i get my licence the 18th, should of had it back in november but i dont know why they always build their jumps so small...didnt 2 years ago they had a slopestyle course down one of the main runs
