rail jam went well today, i heard of a few snowtrails peeps that came up.... harrison? got 2nd place, big ups.

but yeah, i checked out the jump today doesnt look to bad it looks like a mini version of the famous keystone jump. where you can gap from the big jump to the little jumps landing or the other way around.

see you guys out there.

sam ronus got 1st, local alpine valley kid.

wheres he from? idk i just heard he was from the trails

Hahahaha............shut up.......I love Alpine. The jump is actually nasty. Too bad they're taking it down after the comp. (on the 10th). The comp. was postponed because of the -30 degree wind chill and high winds.

I KNOW SNOW TRAILS IS AMAZING, BUT I LIVE RIGHT BY ALPINE SO I LOVE IT.

haha no way, hes right. alpine is a joke. i grew up like 3 minutes from that place. SOOOOOO flat, and SOOOOOOO ghetto.

alpine doesnt look to bad...ive driven by it a lot..my gf lives about 5 minutes down the road from there and fall out boy is the kid that said brandywine was legit...well it sucks and they have way too many features in a real small area...bmbw is far from legit

personally, i think alpine has been ALOT better than its been in the past years. the jumps we got for the big air isnt bad at all, good transition, no huge lip, smoothe landing. theres a small like 15ft jump and a bigger 30ft jump. better than what weve ever had.

and yes, alpine blows ass, but its all weve got. unless i realy wanna take a 1hr 30min trip to snowtrails. id rather go all out and drive 3hrs to 7 springs for better runs. i would compare snowtrails to bmbw but with slightly better runs, and the most amazing park ever, but the hill size still isnt impressive enough to view it as godly.

Ok for all the people dissing Alpine, stop. The place does the best it can with the money it has. They made record lift ticket sales this year and I hope the park improves next year.

In my opinion, the park wasn't terrible for Alpine's standards. The back of the tow rope have a 30 huge gap. One of our skiiers threw a 1080 off of it. The side of the quad had a small 10 foot gap and a spine. The front of the tow rope had: an A-Frame rail, a down rail with an urban style lip, a small flat rail, a flat-down-flat rail, a battleship rail, and a DFD box. Then were the comptition jumps were, there were small tables but they were icy as fuck so yeah. Next year maybe they'll add new features and groom them better.

Having features doesn't ensure that you have a good park. Brighton in Utah has like 50 rails..... Most of the time only half of them are hittable because of the lack of kickers or horrible placement. And same with jumps. A 30 foot jump can be a bump with a slight downhill 30 feet away. It has to be built correctly.

I've not skied Alpine Valley so I have no clue how the park is... but you can have all the features in the world, and if they're set up bad they're useless.

^ I'VE done 1080's over 6 foot gaps. why you claimin other people doin it.

Kidding.... I just wanted to add to the claim sesh.

haha i liked how this entire statement was so formal until the last line..icy as fuck..haha. ive never skied alpine. ive been there once to look at it but it looks shitty as balls. okay sure you had a 30 ft gap but the landing was real flat and the lip wasnt even there...better luck next year

Haha man I'm not saying alpine is satisfactory......I'm saying it's all we got u know? I've learned everything there and as much as I hate it sometimes, I still love it. So hate on it all you want, but the local skiers and riders do all we can to make the place less shitty. Hahah and it wasn't icy until a week after the Big Air Comp.
