Alpine trekkers?

Does anyone have any experience with Alpine trekker type systems that turn regular skis into a weak touring setup? Do they work well? Where can you get them?
 
First tour I used them on I snapped them in half. Their warranty is great, the replaced them next-day air no questions asked. Since then they've survived but I've been a little skeptical. There's a reason they're called "day-wrekkers." Make sure your skins fit perfectly, too, because you don't have the side-to-side rigidity with trekkers to cut in an edge if you need to. And along those same lines, if you have a wide ski (say, >95mm undefoot) they will give you fits because of the flex of the ski underfoot. The weak spot is in the trekker design itself. If you are using look/rossi bindings, they're also a pain in the ass because you need to stick your finger underneath the size-adjustment bar every time you put them in, while popping up the heel so it secures the trekker right. So, that all said, after a season of touring with trekkers, I will never do it again. I'm picking up a set of B4's and sticking some Naxo's on them, end of story.

I am touring on Naxo Nx21s right now and they are the shit.
 
i have used them in the past and i have to say they work great. Befor i was thinking about putting touring bindings on one of my skis but now that i have used trekkers im not even thinking about that any more. Thanks how much i like them. The only real downside that i found they have is how much they weigh. Not a huge change in weight when they go into my pack with the rest of my gear tho.
 
They're great if you don't do a lot of backcountry, but if you're serious don't even consider them. There's flex issues (as mentioned before) and they tend to slowly loosen up as the day progresses which means I have to bring a screwdriver with me to adjust them all the time.
