Alpine opens on friday

cool,, think pretty much all the resorts open this weeek to weekend. yay for the season only being one week later then average(thanksgiving)/
 
its weird cause on the webcam it doesnt look that covered...maybe im just retarded but ill be there saturday to check
 
No I'm pretty sure the webcam is a current picture. Should be enough snow on the runs. 4-6 jibs too. YESSSS!!!
 
Roundhouse will be open according to the tingle in my cerebral cortex as the clouds infiltrate the skies of Davis.
 
When you guys go over there..make sure to say hi to Jonas and Josh..those are the guys that are going to be making Alpine's park sick everyday.

Kangaroo is covered in snow. If we get 2-3 feet like promised roundhouse and maybe summit will open too. Maybe. The park will be sick either way.

naw, all the jumps will all probobally start out at 60+ft. Thats how alpine rolls
 
At the beginning of last year they had a real sweet mini jumpline - 5ft tables. There were some pretty sick sessions on those. The word on the street is you have to get a minimum of 12 backflips on friday to start the season out right. Sounds crazy to me, but hey I'm just the messenger.
 
ya heavy rain in truckee, soooo gay!!! hopefully the backside of the storm will be cold and drop at least like 6 inches at the lake to make it freah and beautiful and what-not.

pray for snow, 2-4 above 8000 doesnt help us too much right now.
 
yep. for all you people makeing your treck out tommorow there's been a qouta established for the first jumps of the season. Each rider is required 12 backflips on the first day. you got about 15 hours to practice, don't blow it!
 
I'm at the Hyatt Incline Village and it is raining, but it was dumping up higher. There will be freshies !!!
 
is there going to be a jump... i mean i can just find out tomorrow but i think i would cry of happiness if there was hahahah
 
scott, you gonna be at alpine tom? Afterwords come to the Rec center and il get you in so you can hit up the sauna.
 
nick....naw man, i'll be over at the *, i'm supposed to demo some 9thwards from chris over there tomorrow. otherwise i'd be at the pine or sierra. looks like you guys will have a nice party going on at alpine though, we'll hook up sometime. have fun.

just tell the blumster that alpine is where it's at yo. He needs to get on board at the Shreadows this year. He told me he could get me a ticket to N* and I told him I could get him into Alpine, havn't heard from him since...hehe. I do want to ski those Miks though.
 
Ok, here is the line-up. 20' down box, 24'flat box, 32'flat rail, 32' flat-down, 30' step down jump. Hope you guys got some. Pray for more snow and more jumps.
 
today was epic. never had such a fun first day.. lenz throwin 270s on your mom. nick and dave throwin back flips, lief almost killing himself by following me down some cliffs, becca greasing everything out there that was possible to grease, bret switchin up the flat down like you wouldn't believe, jex and andy steezin around. yea it doesn't get any better than that. gosh nothing makes me more happy then skiing all day long with my buddies till my legs are going to fall off.
 
i was there today and i had so much fun. it felt so good to hit a jump. i had more fun taking runs off summit than stickin around in the park though.
 
The park now has two jumps. A 20' & a 30'. It's lots of fun for the 3rd day open. Stay off beaver hike though, some guy slid down the backside today and had to be airlifted out.
 
He slid because he was a snowboarder with soft boots and couldnt toe-in to the ice. If you take the high ridge hike up on top of idiots its fine.....
 
Holy shit that would suck. He slid down because it was really icy? Seems like quite a bit of vert down into those trees.
 
^yeah dude, i saw the hellakopter and started having PTSD again. And ontop of that if he truly slid off the "backside" of beaver he probably went for quite a while because that shit just goes straight down into the valley, hope he's ok, not a good way to start the season out.
