Took these today. Park is good right now.

I was up yesterday and immediatelly remembered why nojahojas is awesome. All the jumps are so sick and set up like true tables, nice steep landings and awesome flow. Even the rails were set up sick, I especially enjoyed the urban style dfd, fun little challenge at the bottom there. Good to see alpine's still killing it.

Was anyone at Alpine who might know how Lyndsay is doing?

Starlightlou here on NS.

Got word she was transported unconscious.

O shit is she the one who fell on her head? my brother and his friend saw that and said it looked really bad.

I wish alpine and some smaller jumps for beginners like me to learn/practice on.

So, just got confirmation on Lindsay's (starlightlou's) injuries. Apparently she shattered her pelvis, punctured a lung pretty good (no word on broken ribs), and she's in an induced coma with brain contusions. Right now they're just starting to evaluate exactly what they're going to do, and letting her chill for a bit. Hope for the best guys. Give vibes.

Get well soon Lindsay.

oh wow lindsay im soooooooooo sorry to hear what happened! and to think i've been bitching just about my ACL being torn...get well soon!!!!+++vibes

---- i hope for a speedy and full recovery for this lyndsey girl-------

about the jumps at alpine------- the first 2 are way fun, but the third you are almost guarenteed to overshoot the first 3 times you hit it. 3rd needs to be much bigger. the 4th is fun but the lip is super lippy and the jump could be another 15 to 20 ft longer... still best jumps in tahoe none the less.

++++vibes++++

so im guessing that the whole kangaroo/park pass never became a reality? bummer that would be soooo sweet too. those jumps look beautuful

The latest on Lindsay for those of you who know her, info posted else where by K2ECripa$the most recent update:

This is the latest from her dad. Very promising! All the love is working its magic!

As of this afternoon, Thursday, January 22, Lindsay’s prognosis appears a little more cheerful.

First, she had surgery yesterday and a pin (screw) was inserted to secure her sacrum. Her orthopedic surgeon said the operation went “perfectly.” He is now looking at inserting a screw in her clavicle to provide support for her use of crutches or other assistance while her pelvis and clavicle heal.

The neurosurgeon removed the metal monitoring device from her head yesterday after her sacrum surgery so they were able to do an MRI on her head and upper spine. The results showed a slipped disc in her neck which will necessitate a neck brace for 6 weeks or so but probably will not require surgery. The MRI also showed some bruising on the outside of the fibrous nerve connections between the left and right sides of the brain called the splenium of the corpus callosum. There appears to be no or very minor actual tearing. Time will tell if there is any short term memory loss or other cognitive loss but we are very optimistic about the long term outcome.

Currently they are in the process of reducing the drugs used to keep her under so she can wake up. As you know, Lindsay has always had an indominatable sprit and thus is somewhat combative as she attempts to wake up. We love it.

We feel all your love and concern as we go through this. Your prayers and thoughts have obviously been helping. We, Chalan, Constance, and I can’t really begin to thank you for your love, concern and support.

good to hear...

and i agree with peetri i over shot alpines 3rd jump so hard and couldn't believe i rode away... i hope they make em bigger but it seems like everyone is struggling to get enough snow for bigger jumps...

We've been rebuilding after all the new snow. Were trying to make the landings as long as possible with long smooth takeoffs. Also trying to get them to be true step over jumps. Rails will all be reset this week. I will start pushing up Nicks this week as well. Here is a couple of pics from yesterday. Come check it out.

Also, has anybody heard anything new with Lindsay? Hope she's doing better.

Lindsay's actually doing pretty well in her recovery. She's finally moved out of the ICU in Reno back to Santa Clara. She's talking, did art work for 90 minutes the other day, on no more meds, and going through some intense rehab. She'll be in the hospital until mid march, but apparently she's going to have a full recovery. stoked!
there's a facebook group, 'love for lulu,' that has all of the latest updates on her progress.

After all those doubts about the Power of the Enticer 2, I think you owe me some personal custom built jumps.

Here's proof.

Think yours and Brian's sleds can hang? haha

Sick! Enticer is getting it. Now you got to take it to the west slopes and try to get some. If you can make it out there I'll build you a jump.

Here is where we went after seeing you.

Dang, looks like the enticer is gong to be doing some epic high marking. We'll definitively be out that way this next week when avy danger settles.

good news update on lindsay's recovery.

i just talked with her on the phone for an hour. she's in an amazing mental state, and suuper positive right now. Shes still not able to put weight on her right leg, and her right hand is being a bit troublesome, but other than that shes doing incredibly well, and she gets out of the hospital on the 5th. She's bummed that she's out for the year, but she wants to get better asap so she can work towards getting back out there again.

she wants to let everyone know shes on the fast track to recovery, and super stoked. She says thanks for all your love and support.

I was at Alpine on the 19th and all of them were mowed down, just the mounts, no kickers.

My only day ever at Alpine so it was still a blast, but I just wish they ad some kickers.

Im ok! thanks for all the concern though. Im healing up and as soon as i can walk it wont be long after that I'll be skiing again :)
